Is it just me or does anyone really think that these schools' respective reputations got damaged? To me, the Yales, Stanfords, and Georgetowns will continue to enjoy their stellar academic reputations and that piece of sheepskin with their names on it will still be valued during job searches and grad school applications. I think college reputations are very very difficult to tear down. It'll have to take an institution-wide scandal of the scale of the Catholic Church child molestation cases to do that. Considering for the most part it was rogue coaches and not the institution at fault, why should their reputations crumble?

Heinel’s business held two-hour workshops at U.S.C.’s Galen Center. The notices advertising the clinics were sent to about 150 high school and private counselors, either from Heinel’s work email account or from that of Katie Fuller, an assistant director of admissions and eligibility at the school.Katie Fuller played for Mick. She needs to be investigated also.. I wonder if she back stabbed Mick Haley and gave this heinel ammo to get rid of him. Birds of a feather flock together. heinel seduced people with her power and intimidated them by hiding behind her sexuality. A true coward and fraud is she. She owes $400,000 in back taxes to the IRS plus her lawyer fess. She will throw everybody under the bus. She needs to go to jail. There is zero chance Katie Fuller intentionally did something wrong.

I know Katie, and unequivocally concur with you.

OK....Please read articles critically, people. About volleyball or otherwise. When you read an article quoting someone saying something someone ELSE supposedly said, it is not to be trusted. That is not a reported article. That is an article with made-up quotes with no attribution. (Not defending the kid. Don't know the kid or the imaginary friend quoted.)

Her patents cheated and got her into something she didn’t want to even go to—of course she would blame her parents like any 18 year old would.

Note that there aren't any such heresay articles on Huffman and Macy's daughter. I am thinking that it is their desired careers. If you want to be a social media influencer, the social media is going to call you out.

No she wouldn’t have .She would’ve been going to junior college like every other kid with average to poor parents . The make up companies certainly wouldn’t have known her from Adam Give me a break

Considering for the most part it was rogue coaches and not the institution at fault, why should their reputations crumble? Because that's how it works. The buck stops there. These schools hired these coaches and ADs and admissions officers. They created this system which was ripe for being misused. They didn't catch the fraud. It was all done under their noses. So yeah, they will take a hit. Just look at how many USC jokes have been flying around lately. USC does seem to have taken most of the PR hit, but they aren't the only ones who caught some flak.

Sad world we live in when “Influencer” is considered a career. Indeed. Such a simple yet profound statement.

Sad world we live in when “Influencer” is considered a career. Being influential has always been profitable. What changes over time are job titles and communication mechanisms. She is no worse than TV advertising, and lots of people have careers there.

Sad world we live in when “Influencer” is considered a career. I was having this discussion with my wife, mostly, "How the heck can I be an influencer?" LOL!
