There`s like 30 people at the most watching the game. It is 8 am there, but still. How can any promoter make money with nobody there, but Ft Lauderdale can’t? 8am...OMG no wondering why nobody is there. That is terrible time for a event.

CZE looked great - countless great serves that put AUS out of system/aced them. It should be a very good women's final.
I am not a fan of AUS's very wide 2 ball offense. I understand the concept of spreading the court, but that is a very tough offense to execute consistently, especially when facing tough serves.

MHP and Pavan run this offense with a tempo set to MHP to try and get her an open net. It's effective when it works but it adds to the difficulty and isn't always easy to execute.

Czechs beat the Aussies in two sets. Too many errors for the Aussies, particularly with their passing and ball control.
Looks like 2S played the Aussies once last year and lost in three sets.

I do think AUS usually passes better but this Czech team is very good. Hermannova blocks really well for being a bit undersized and Slukova can terminate as well as just about any defender. Looking forward to this final, a first time matchup.

Are the finals not being streamed on YouTube? They should be. Check out Upcoming live streams on the FIVB channel. Women’s bronze at 11:30 Eastern and gold at 2 am.

The defender received most of the serves, but with how effective she was, is the blocker even better that AUS avoided her?

In an attempt to jinx them against 2S, we should take a moment to appreciate the meteoric rise of AP and Rebecca. A year ago they were the 5th or 6th best Brazilian team and struggling to get out of the qualifiers. Now they are probably the hottest team in the world and just beat Heather and Brandie. They’ve reached the medal round in every FIVB event this year. Too bad there’s apparently no young USA team poised to make a similar jump. Claes & Sponcil...You heard it here 1st... On another note, is anyone that is watching the stream notice that no one is there?? Very sad! How do we grow this sport?? Dang. I hope that you are right! I became a Sponcil fan immediately after watching her run to the finals in AVP Austin last season. Watching her in an FIVB match (can't recall which one), she didn't play with the same level of confidence & aggressiveness. I really think that she has the talent to be great & is already a great defender. If she can terminate at a higher rate consistently (which I think that she can get to), the sky is the limit... & I hope that she reaches that!

USA was up 13-9 before. Australia won a really long rally to tie at 15-15.
