If April/Alix had gotten any serves in that game could have been a blowout.

If April/Alix had gotten any serves in that game could have been a blowout. 5 errors the stats show. No aces. No blocks yet for USA. Joy with one block. 21-18 USA takes the first set.

USA is making tons of errors in the second set. 15 all then the Dutch fell off a cliff. Should be a great final

This is what I mean about the ATeam, they come through when they need to. They are always vulnerable to being caught sleepwalking in pool or early rounds on side courts, but that won't be a problem at Worlds or Olympics...
Alix is so much better out of system than a year ago. It's still painfully obvious she isn't a beach player, and it will probably always be that way, but she's improving.

Wow. That was spectacular. Up 3-0. Down 7-11, USA calls a timeout and tech timeout is at 9-12. Then they win at 21-17. Commending April on two good service runs. She started the set with a 3-0 run and then back from Tech timeout she went on another 3-0 runs. I think the momentum shift occurred when Alix got a block coming out from the tech timeout. But... those errors have to be looked at. Two consecutive shots into the net totaling 10 errors for the match. Canada does not need free points tomorrow. The Dutch look very positive. Smiling no matter what goes their way. guest2 AVP HB finals rematch in Itapema!

But I can't wait for the European swing this summer with Ostrava, Warsaw, Hamburg, Gstaad, Espinho, and Vienna all in the next 2 months.

After this week, KWJ/BS should have 1980 points for entry points. 2S will have 2720 points. Larsen/Stockman will have 2000 points. Claes/Sponcil will have 2200 point.
KWJ/BS still need some better results to surpass Larsen/Stockman. They’ve surpassed Flint/Day though.

BVBinfo.com says the bronze medal match is at 7:05am and gold medal match is 10:20am local time.
So 6:05/9:20 EDT, 3:05/6:20 PDT, if I have the time zone right.

One remarkable thing about this event was the poor performance of Brazilian women.
No Brazilian team won a match they weren't the favorite in against non-Brazilian opposition and several went out to lower seeds or were not competitive against higher seeds they would normally be expected to play close.
