Is that a local “journalist” asking a question?

God, DeFalco is such a punk. That was borderline disrespectful. I can't even imagine trying to interview him. That first question for him just toned down the mood and they end up with only three questions? A single sentence saying 'they're a good team' just sucks when you're a part of press. Where was Tuaniga? Isn't he a senior too?

You don't think Stijn was a little disrespectful during the match? SVT was a beast in last night's match, but I've never seen TJ do that type of posturing through the net to that degree. I have and TJ has done that in Hawaii more than once! Why do you think TJ was boo'd by our crowd that rarely boos players. Last year he constantly egg'd our fans on. I dont ever see that happen in mens volleyball here by an opposing player. Our fans are top notch and extremely respectful. After this weekend I disagree, as the Hawai`i fans were nothing, but disrespectful to Long Beach...they boo'd Long Beach State for everything all weekend, even when their fans were shown on the big screen they would boo them too...there were also some extremely rude and disrespectful fans that I sat next to all-weekend, that had nothing, but negative stuff to say about Long Beach State Long Beach State has shown nothing but respect for the Warriors, not to mention applauding the crowd as they walked out after they loss on Saturday night With the way Hawai`i fans treated Long Beach State, I would not be surprised to see the LBSU fans boo'ing Hawai`i next weekend

Any two teams in the final other than Hawaii and LBSU will be a disappointment for me. They are clearly the 2 best teams in mens college volleyball this year.

You guys need to keep in mind....most of the fans were not really loyal UH volleyball fans. The loyal fan base of 2000 do not boo the other team. Plenty of football/basketball fans who jumped on the bandwagon for this ride. Those band wagoners tend to be the loudmouths and one who boo’ed. All those guys do is read about the rivalry and think we boo teams like we don with our football rivalry with BYU and Boise.
LBSU are big boys. I doubt their feelings are hurt. I doubt our will be if the LB fans boo us like too.

Hawaii fans dont have a history of being disrespectful. But guess who does have a history? TJ does. But I still love his game. Hawaii wasnt winning that 5th set without the crowd.

I agree on this. LBSU got boo’d several times throughout the match such as when the PA introduced their team and when their fans were shown on the jumbotron. The crowd cheered on them though when the players were introduced and on very good plays, and at the very end. I believe there is no sport event where the opposing team was never boo’d. It’s part of the game; as long as there are no personal attacks or swearing to the players happens.
SVT was the most emotional on the court. He did some gestures across the net that made me shake my head. The LB players were nothing but respectful of the crowd. Even TJ i’m surprised he was really calm on the court.

That's the point of home court advantage - make your opponent feel uncomfortable. I get that these teams have respect for each other, but there has been way too much friendliness with them sitting together between games, coming under the net to hug after games, etc. I want to see more nastiness - staredowns through the net, trash talking, let's see someone get a yellow card.

Exactly! Hawaii has a rep of being way too nice and prim and proper with the opposing team. Giving leis, cheering on both teams, etc.) One match in a long long time where Hawaii fans dares to even boo in their own arena....they are vilified for it. Lmfao LBSU looked extremely uncomfortable at times and the crowd got into its head. Mission accomplished.

TJ plays with emotion and wears his heart on his sleeve...I have never seen him be disrespectful towards the Hawai`i fanbase or any UH player.

In a crowd of 9500+ who had 90 minutes of beer drinking under their belt before the national anthem, then treated to five sets of superbly intense and super high level volleyball, the amount of booing was insignificant and quickly drowned out by the cheering. I heard nothing that came close to crossing any kind of line from the crowd or players, except possibly some jawing and pointing from Nick Amado at the down ref over a call, to which the quick response was 'Card him!' But, Knipe soon cooled his player off and calmed and refocused his team. Beach doesn't only have talented players, Knipe and his staff are very very good.

The Beach needs to get more tan if they want to have a chance tonight. The tanner the better. As most of the pineapple n...gg ..s know, this is the match Long Beach CAN lose, not even to plan to watch that ... This is how you get banned.
