Anyone know if Dreeuws transferred? Well, she for sure left the Hawaii program, but I don't think she transferred anywhere yet.

Trolling for news on on social media to see who’s going where. Arden from indoor to beach is going to FIU with Forbes. Watching for others to see where they end up.
The video posted on Banz was good and I agree she could had been a contender next year for a spot.

Before the transfer portal, students had to contact other schools to gauge the viability of transferring. I suppose students still do that. But if they want to open up the market for themselves, they would let their school know about their intentions so that they can put their name on the portal. This allows other schools to contact them. So, perhaps Dreeuws has some options now but perhaps waiting for better options to make a decision?

if I was up and coming beach volleyball player I would never want to play for Hawaii at this point of program development.

Norene wasn’t kidding about how obnoxious the cal poly parents were.

Norene wasn’t kidding about how obnoxious the cal poly parents were. Still talking about the time when CP laid down " junior beating " twice in one day on UH ? That's ok . It is admirable that your program has settled in the role of forever second ... third ... forth

Hawaii will continue to have problems till the cancer is cut. Beautiful island but the school is old & the coaches are not really coaches. You can tell they have no clue on pairings when they take a senior who’s never been in the line up and put her in the one spot with Maglio. First clue people they don’t know the first thing about pairings. Sorry I don’t have her name she was the Hawaiian who never played till her senior year.
Waiting for Dreeuws and others to announce where they are going. My guess is one or two more will end up at a top 10 school.

You are pathetic. Jeff and Crew are doing okay- 4 NCAA appearances, 4 Top 4 top 4 finishes as opposed to Poly’s 1 appearance and 7th place finish. Poly didn’t win a single flight at the NCAA’s. They were an embarrassment to the Big West. Good thing Hawaii was there to bring respectability to the conference.

Have no clue on pairings yet Hawaii has been a top 4 finisher in the NCAA’s the last 4 years. They must be super lucky. 😂 As for the transfers, well play better and earn your way onto the top 5 flights. Hawaii won’t miss any of its transfers. They have better players coming in next season.

For UH sake I hope no new recruits read volleyrate's post If I were a recruit, I’d read everything — both positive and negative — and then do research on my own. Some things will turn out to be true and others false. It’s for you to do the due diligence. Also, it’s for you to decide what negative things (see, e.g., old buildings) you can and cannot tolerate. Conversely, there may be some positive attributes that you don’t give a rat’s arse about (e.g., new student center). I went to a small but very prestigious school in the 1980s and it had old buildings, seedy and unsafe areas outside the campus, and terrible on-campus food, among other things. This is the result of not being in a power conference and all the money that comes with it. But all the positive (e.g., great professors, academics, labs, classmates) outweighed all the negative. If I were a UH beach recruit, I’d try to see for myself if the old buildings at UH are really old and, if so, whether they’re tolerable. I’d also see for myself the quality of the coaches by asking them questions, talking with past and present team members, and the like. This is very easy to do with the prevalence of social media. Whenever I want to learn about something, I just find the relevant “expert” and ask them nicely via email “Hi, I found your name from ____. Blah blah blah I was wondering if you could help me out and answer some questions about ____. And perhaps get some advice. Blah blah blah.” They love this Shiite because EVERYONE I’ve ever met LOVES giving advice. EVERYONE. No exceptions. Due diligence, my friends, due diligence.

I’ve been to the Cal Poly campus many many times because I have a house in SLO and I gotta tell you, Cal Poly has a lot of old buildings, too. I’m also not a fan of the new ones either. The campus layout is blah and the lack of a central open area bothers me. Though the town is nice if you’re a parent or a senior citizen, it has to be absolutely boring for college-age peeps. But the views of the hills and the weather are great, but you can’t beat the views from the UH campus.
