I was at Vegas and the sand was fine. Spoke to April there and she told me that Alix couldn’t go after warming up. She needed a break. Saw them there on Thursday & Part of Friday then they were gone. A volunteer asked Alix to sign her volunteer shirt and she didn’t. Asked the volunteer if they had something else to sign. They didn’t.:.😂😂 thought that was interesting. But whatever. 🤷🏻♀️ I want them to come to Vegas again. Really? April and Alix were super nice when I met them at AVP NYC last summer. I took a picture with the entire ATeam (Alix, April, and Jen Kessy). I read it to mean Alix would have signed but not something p1440 branded? I think thats reasonable although I may have misunderstood GG

Your wonderful at trying to put your words in other people’s mouth. As a fan that went to see April, Alix and some foreign FIVB athletes we didn’t get to see them play. They were smart enough to asses the situation and not endanger themselves by practicing or playing on the wrong playing surface. That’s remote court building 101. Baring the crew working 28 straight hours to move 1500 tons of sand, twice, I’d say A-Team made a pretty logical decision. But that didn’t resolve the lighting. Were injury rates at this event actually any higher than a typical non-beach event? I can't recall any significant injuries suffered. I don't think it's a good look when one of the top players, a multiple time Olympian, drops out of an event at the last minute without explanation. If they were concerned about the playing surface, they should have said so publicly. April and Alix didn't play because Alix was coming into Las Vegas slightly injured from China. It didn't make sense to play and risk further injury especially after just winning the China *4. Players like them don't leave money on the table over personal issues with the promoter or sand. BTW- Ross/Klineman took some damn good teams down in China. Date Location Partner Seed Finish Winnings Points 10/10-14 Yangzhou, China April Ross 2 1 $10,000.00 400 PB: d. Meimei Lin / Lingdi Zhu (31) 18-21, 21-13, 26-24 (0:55) PB: l. Emily Day / Betsi Flint (Q2,15) 18-21, 19-21 (0:34) W1: d. Miki Ishii / Megumi Murakami (11) 21-15, 21-15 (0:30) W2: d. Sometimes celebs don’t sign shirts while they are being worn to avoid the possibility of any inadvertent or unwelcome touching.

Summer/Sara, Kelly/Sarah, and Kerri/Brooke cant say that.

I can’t tell if this is sarcasm or not 🤷🏻♀️😂 Its not. This team is wildly inconsistent, but at times they are simply unstoppable. When Alix is playing at the top of her game, teams basically have to score off April to win, which has been a recipe for failure for the past ten years. Summer/Sara at their best can both be scored on and overpowered. Brooke gives up tons of points on her best day. Sponcil hasnt shown she can sideout at an elite level and Kelly is not particularly strong in any given skill.

But I’ll take note when I watch them next time.

What's most interesting here is how AVP controls so many more smaller regional tournaments, Seaside, Pottstown now is an affiliate, Billy doesn't have many places to play if this ban is fully enforced.

Laguna Open or bust for him. Billy K and Miles won the AVP Next in Huntington today. C'mon 405, we need better information from you, just when I thought you were "in" the loop and "in" the beach scene you go and post something like the above. Also, Seaside, Pottstown etc are affiliates. An AVP affiliated tournament only gives points, it's not owned by the AVP. I'm sure most if not all tournament directors from the respected list you mentioned will let Billy K play. Seesh, get it together bruh.

So Mr. Big Time Paul, why is Billy not listed for Austin when they paid to enter? That's the crux of this if you can't understand big picture talk I get it.
