The transfer thread is reporting (per Rich Kern) that Alexa Roumeliotis (DS) is transferring from Creighton to Colorado State. She played in 110 sets last year for Creighton and had 201 digs. I'll update the first post.

I'd think that UConn will negotiate with the AAC to get a waiver of the 27 month notice requirement so they can leave early. I'm sure it'll cost them some extra money, but I suspect they'll think it's worth it. Otherwise, they won't be able to actually join the Big East until July 2022. I really hope they're on board by July 2020. And yes, UConn is a very strange fit for the Big East. Aside from geography and strong basketball, UConn has very little in common with the rest of the conference. May be a strange fit, but UConn was a charter member of the Big East when it was founded in 1979 (before Villanova and Pitt). I think they stayed in the Big East until the conference forced out the remaining football schools in 2012.

Fortunately only 6 can still get on the court at the same time.

I'll update the first post. That’s two key transfer losses for the Jays. Hard to speculate why as it seems Creighton and Booth are both desirable for good players. They lost a lot of talent to graduation so maybe they know something we don’t or could be they wanted to compete in much stronger conferences? Creighton has pretty much enjoyed a cakewalk in the BE with Marquette being of any real competition to them.

The 2019 St. John's schedule is up. It's a doozy. Preconference play opens with Hawaii, Washington, and USD and closes with Florida State, Oregon, and Duke. The middle opponents aren't much, but they'll have a lot of opportunity to earn RPI points with those matches before Big East play.

Impressive. St. John’s looking to be ready to make a run for a conference title.

But, that IS a great preconference schedule! Good for St. John's!

Thus, the word “opportunity.” Do you have them doing better than 1-5?

Thus, the word “opportunity.” Do you have them doing better than 1-5? It's hard to pick SJ outright to win any of those five. However, you never know. I think two or three of those teams will have some early-season growing pains this year as they work in new freshmen/transfers while SJ is bringing back a pretty experienced and stable bunch. SJ could go 0-fer, but I wouldn't be shocked if they pick up 2 wins.
