Both Chiaka and Washington deserve a spot for Tokyo. Add Foluke to the mix and you’re set with middles.

I can't wait to see Carlini back setting the wealth of USA volleyball.. its middles. Now if only our coaches understood how good our middles are.

Whoever wrote the recap said that Chiaka only had two blocks

of course....Now he`s gonna say Team USA does not allow setting the middles.....basically he`s already covering his a**....as he will blame Karch when Carlini won`t be setting the middles.
Carlini won`t even be in Nebraska...which means....She`s not considered "A" Team......Lloyd and Hancock will be in Nebraska.

Karch's coaching chops are in complete free fall. There is no choreographic celebration on the sidelines. How can we possibly keep our team spirit up and pull out this win. The upside is I guess it opens up another spot on the Oly squad. Oh my god. What do you want? Bring Courtney Thompson back to cheer? Bring back Logan to stare everyone down so people would finally have a want-to-win attitude

It was my question. Moreover, with comments like that from Karch, what does it matter. I was trying to find out if that meant comments such as “Get your arm higher” or “we need to run more middle in transition.”

Still no idea why Sylla never came back into the game... Sylla has some physical problem, it was planned she had to play only the first 2 sets but Mazzanti let her play one more set

Italian most experienced players, like Bosetti and Chirichella, were bad today. Problably we also missed Sarah Fahr, she's 17 and has been playing great lately (she was awarded as best middle blocker at Montreux tournament)

BTW it's ironic to me that the player with most aces was Sorokaite, who is a jump server. On the other hand,no player from USA is allowed to bomb serve from the 9 meter line

Kingdon, other than some OOS stuffs, was really good on the attack today. She worked the block better than anyone else. Our middles service runs are really going under the radar. Washington and Rettke have had some good ones too.

I saw Sylla limping at the end when she went to shake hands with everyone so maybe she does have a slight injury? Still, she was the best thing Italy had going. LOVE to watch her -- every point or mistake is a happy celebration from her. I don't want to pick on her because it was her first official game but good Lord those passing numbers for Lee are scary bad, especially since she wasn't even the one Italy was targeting. Hope she gets to redeem herself. I know Courtney is the "fix" but would love to see Lake get more time. Her passing is solid.

I seen a couple of her matches and she's got potential. I heard a rumor that she was sent to prepare for the u18 tournament.
