Catching up on this thread: do people actually think Karch is planning on MBH or Foecke shifting to Libero? Like are we taking this week’s assignments seriously? Reading tea leaves here, but if he had no plans to use Courtney in the future, wouldn’t he have sent her home? He clearly values resting her, and it’s not like we needed a viable Libero to beat this week’s scheduled teams. Anyone who thinks this was anything more than window dressing until the finals needs to take a deep breath. Edit: at this point, I’d guess the only viable OH option to move to Libero is Robinson, whether she wants to or not. And even then, I’m not convinced that’s where he’s headed. But what a confidence boost! Karch can remind MBH and MFR they were good enough to play the position. Not a bad thing going into finals!

Congrats the USA Women on improving to 12-3 and a tie for 1st place! (record wise) Really balanced attack directed by Lauren. N° NAME POINTS Attack BLOCK Aces ATTEMPTS 25 Karsta Lowe 20 16/33 4 0 10 8 Lauren Gibbemeyer 12 8/12 4 0 6 22 Haleigh Washington 12 5/9 5 2 14 23 Kelsey Robinson 12 9/20 1 2 13 10 Jordan Larson 11 9/21 1 1 20 7 Lauren Carlini 1 1/2 0 0 10 But Where does this leave Lowe? She had a great game... but against the weakest team of the week. Carlini gave her the sets she needed, but can she perform against bigger competition? Or was this her swan song? Lowe and Drews advance playing RS.

Tough call on Lowe for the VNL finals. This is the last event (Maybe IOQ) that the college girls will likely be available for, so I'd bet Thompson gets the nod for VNL. Lowe will have a good shot to be part of the World Cup roster.

I'm sure Foecke did ok at playing libero, but the fact that this is the option that Karch chose in this situation or even for the overall roster for that matter is truly mind blowing. Get over yourself and call Hentz for God's sake. Why is it mind blowing when we need both terminal outsides Foecke and MBH to improve their passing. These VNL games don’t really mean anything except for game time training. The overall libero situation is what I'm referring to more so than the fact that we need terminal outsides that can pass.

We are fine with MBH and Hill, and Larson stepping in when the passing gets dicey. We need a RS not afraid to swing. We need a stabilizing passer at libero. I think we have the pieces.

Libero needs to be Robinson. And I actually prefer Karsta to Drews but Jordan has shown bits and pieces of Hooker which is exciting!

Glad to see Karsta get her confidence back! The more our players improve, the better we become.

I noticed Robinson was playing left back, surely she will be the Libero for the final week?

I noticed Robinson was playing left back, surely she will be the Libero for the final week? That could just be because she is more comfortable and experienced playing that as opposed to Foecke. I think we will see Courtney back if she is healthy.

Watching Kelsey's new vlog post on YouTube which addresses some passport issues with Mary Lake - interesting Q and As in the rest of the video.

We finally know the Mary Lake situation. Would it have been so hard to say that in the beginning? Wonder if she will be on the roster for the finals?
On a side note, it’s so great these athletes from different programs come together. I saw a couple posts from Heather Gneiting and Dani Drews (bitter BYU/Utah rivals) having a blast in Japan.
