I don't know how high on the list they will be, but I expect Hawai'i to at least return to the top four of the mid majors this season. Based on what? Their fans and supporters

CSU's passing and floor defense will be problematic, but I really like their offense - and their middles are both very strong 2-ways. Teams like that tend to have results that are all over the place, though with a very high ceiling to pull some upsets. I think, like last year, they'll slip up on the road in the MWC a few times but have the possibility to threaten some P5 schools in the tourney (or, alternatively, get served off the court - who knows?). Should be a really fun team to watch, possibly frustrating for their fans.
I'm most curious about UCF. They also had a very young team, but it will be different for them this year with a target on their backs.

Can these midmajors just schedule each other every year. Pretty sure this with this method most teams would make the tournament. But to answer the OP and as a hawaii fan I'm not sold on hawaii just yet us I personally haven't seen Jolie Rasmussen play and won't judge her play based in a spring match. I think byu is king with the way they have been recruiting and I don't think that will change for quite a while as I think they'll host every year and contend for a natty

Can anyone tell which programs had “impact” transfers from another good program as of recent (aside from Hawaii)?
I know of some like Camryn Tastad (Oregon) to San Diego. Kaitlyn Lines (Pacific) to Marquette will add depth at the pins.

I hope that they can maintain that status even after she graduates.

Sometimes, guys here/homer fanatics feel that ya can just plug-in some supposed hotshot recruit into a just-graduated icon's spot (RJP, in this case) -- and voila' -- No difference! Uhhh, wrong! These were the rankings from one year ago; many rosters have changed Dramatically due to Seniors moving on. THIS year I can see Cincinnati and/or Creighton making moves. Does anyone really think that replacing arguably the best player in the country will be that easy? I think BYU fans are more realistic. You never know, though. Tennessee won the national championship the year after Peyton Manning graduated. Granted, that's pretty unusual. At any rate, I don't expect them to be ranked No. 1 or anything (losing their All-American setter is also a big blow), but I think BYU should be really good (like top 10 or so) still regardless, as they've got a lot of good returning talent, they've been recruiting really well, and Olmstead is a great coach.

Creighton lost quite a bit. They'll be an interesting team tho One of my favorite teams has lost a group of stellar players.

Torrey & Adlee Van Winden along with Taylor Nelson have helped elevate CAL POLY and bring them back after some 30 years (WOW)! Kudos to the Van Winden & Nelson families,...two generations of POLY alums.

Creighton is probably the only program in this tier that has a chance to close the gap on BYU. They have strong recruits coming in for '20 and '21, and I heard they're close to landing another one. Love both coaches (i.e. Olmstead and KBB).

This year is Hawaii's reemergence after a few years of mediocrity. They will be a top 3 mid-major program this year. You dumbasses heard it here first.
