Here would be my top 20 as of now:
1) BYU: The top mid-major last year is the best bet to finish on top this year. Jones-Perry and Haddock are big losses, but the other 5 starters return along with one of the top recruiting classes for the year.
2) Marquette: #14 in Pablo last year and the #3 Mid-Major returns 7 of their 9 starters and brings in 2 ready to replace transfer replacements. Clear favorite to win the Big East and excellent chance of getting a seed.
3) Colorado State: CSU returns all 7 starters along with most of the bench. This was a young team last year and still remains young. A likely repeat winner of the Mountain West.
4) Hawaii: This season's transfer university or 'Oregon-West' - returns just one starter. But Hawaii usually puts together a top Mid-Major team and this team does have considerable talent to build around.
5) Cal Poly: Cal Poly brings back 5 of their 7 starts, but the loss of Adlee Van Winden may hurt - this team still have the pieces to succeed.
6) Creighton: Creighton losses 3 of their 7 starters including top scorers Winters and Kloth. Transfer Erica Kostelac will help the transition.
7) Pepperdine: Pepperdine was Pablo #24 last year and returns 6 of their 7 starters - losing their setter and replacing with their prize recruit Isabel Zelaya. This team could be very good.
8) LMU: LMU hasn't posted any 2019 roster, so I am assuming they only lost their graduates - which would be 5 of their 7 starters returning. They have a solid Freshman class and this team usually does well.
9) Rice: The #37 Pablo team last year returns 8 of their 9 starters including their top 4 scorers. Should be the favorites in Conference USA and a solid tournament team.
10) San Diego: San Diego losses 3 of their 9 starters - with transfer Tastad being an easy replacement at Libero and top recruit Grace Frohling being the other.
11) UCSB: Another team to yet release a roster - top scorer Lindsay Ruddins and 5 other starters return.
12) UCF: UCF returns 7 of their 9 starters including their top 4 scorers and both setters. They are likely to be as good as last year and in the mix for a tournament seed. I probably have them ranked lower than most - as Pablo had them as an overachieving team last year. I think they are good - and the best team in the American Athletic.
13) Western Kentucky: An off-season last year, WKU returns 7 of 9 starters. This is a young team with plenty of talent to return to where they were a couple years ago.
14) Northern Iowa: UNI returns 5 of 7 starters and should be as dangerous as usual. This program usually gets as much or more out of its players as any other program.
15) Denver: 7 of 9 starters return as they are the favorites to win The Summit.
16) Dayton: Dayton losses 3 of their 9 starters including their top 2 scorers - but this is a team that recruits well and can replace quickly in their 6-2.
17) Tulane: Hasn't posted their roster - they have the potential of returning 8 of their 9 starters from a Pablo top 50 team (this team could easily be ranked higher).
18) Princeton: Also hasn't released a 2019 roster - the potential of returning 6 of their 7 starters including their top 4 scorers and starting setter and libero. #53 Pablo team last year could be even better this year.
19) Cincinnati: All-American Jordan Thompson returns - but they lose 5 of their 9 starters including Erica Kostelac to Creighton. They do have a solid recruiting class and brought in transfer Oliver. Will they have enough to surround Thompson?
20) Texas State: 5 of their 7 starters return from the #38 Pablo team last year including 6 rotation top scorer Cheyenne Huskey. Should be a solid team.
HM: Florida Gulf Coast, Northern Arizona, New Mexico State, UC Irvine,
