I got to go to the tourney today. Tulsa put up a good fight vs UCF. UCF just has more weapons.
Tulane dominated UH but UH finds ways to push matches to 5. I agree Tulane is very unpredictable. Without Hansel and Heidelberg healthy they don’t have enough terminators. But there block and making teams uncomfortable give them a chance. They held Jordan Thompson to 8 kills last time they played and swept Cinci. I’m willing to bet a million dollars they don’t hold her under 10 kills this time.
Will be 2 great Semi matches to watch.

I thought UCF played really well. Their pins deal really well with an awful lot of sets coming from behind the 10 foot line. Well, they did today at least.
SMU was in a tough place. Their biggest issue was lack of offense. They found success going to their middles but couldn’t get them involved enough to really string together runs of points. Their pins ended up swinging at a ton of high balls and basically had to try to tool hands all day. It worked sometimes and they got blocked others.
Anyone watching AAC volleyball has been spoiled by some really good liberos. Katie Karbo, Taylor Horsfall, and Montana Watts have all had really great seasons and performed very well at the AAC tournament, even though their teams have now all lost.

Congrats to UCF! Down 19-24 in the 3rd set find a way to win. Jordan’s passers and setters did her no favors in this one. Coaching was suspect as well. UCF played fearless but Cinci unfortunately choked imo.
Great match for spectators. Hope ESPN did well with viewers.
ROLL AAC. TO THE TOP🍢🍢🍢🍢🍢

This means that the 2020 AAC Championship will be held at UCF -- right? Anyone have any ideas on what will happen with UConn leaving the conference?
All hope is not yet lost for SMU if they can beat North Texas. It's still a longshot -- but they wouldn't be missing the RPI cut line by much.

5 team make it to post season. SMU turns down NIVC bid. UCF and Cinci in NCAA’s Tulane, Tulsa and Houston in NIVC. SMU going 1-3 in their final matches must have convinced them not to play.
SMU and Tulane had a shot at NCAA’s but fell short. The league best is 2 teams in the NCAA. Think this can be a 3-4 bid league.

Temple’s S.O.S was really good for the quality of opponents they scheduled.
