Hey guys,
I was wondering if you guys would be interested in having your own forum for your fantasy league. Obviously, this depends on the upcoming Spring schedule and whether it pans out or not. But if it does, I already have a separate forum for the All-VT Awards Committee. It wouldn't be too much trouble for me to create a dedicated subforum for you guys to use. The subforum could be completely open or password-protected. It would also have these features:
1. Dice roll (As many dice as you want; as my sides per dice; as many rolls as you want)
2. Deck of 52 cards that will deal 5 random cards at a time (like in Poker)
3. Random number generator (from any beginning number to any end number, say, 1 to 1000)
4. Easy formatted table feature
5. Leaderboards
6. Pixel Editor (you can draw your own pic and post it)
...and a whole bunch of other features I'm not mentioning here. I don't know if you'd need the above things but they're pretty neat.
With a dedicated subforum, you could create all the threads you wanted -- draft, rules, standings, rosters, weekly roster submissions, weekly results, stats, general smack talk, etc. -- all separately instead of being lumped in one giant thread here. Each participant could even have their own thread to keep personal notes.
I have other stuff like an in-house currency which you could participate in -- or not -- it's up to you. You can buy stuff, gamble on stuff, invest in stuff, etc. Also, because of the existence of this in-house currency, money could be offered as prizes for the top finishers. You guys would essentially be members of that forum with your own dedicated Fantasy League subforum. BUT you can't get involved in or even see the All-VT Awards Committee stuff. (I'll password-protect those subforums anyway.)
Let me know. I'm not asking you to give up VT. I have no intention of making my forum into another volleyball forum or one that competes with VT. I'm just giving you a platform to do your Fantasy League thing. No strings attached.
Obviously, all the league members would have to agree.
I myself would not get involved in the league. I'm just the admin and would basically give you technical support for whatever you needed.
No rush on the response to this invitation. But, you know, if you wanted to do it, you would have to give me some advance notice.
