The passing would be pretty bad, Berty is not ready for PAC 12 play just yet, the L Jersey would be reminiscent of McKenna in 2015 (which is not a good thing lol), and of course the inexperience. While individually the players are very promising and have solid talent (yes 4 top 10 recruits may ride the bench), forming a team is a whole different story and you’re underestimating the rest of the teams out there in the country.

Their offensive production greatly relied on SSS's tempo and location. I'm skeptical that Miller will be able to recreate that. If that tempo/location suffers I suspect their efficiency will take a big hit. They don't have a lot of arms that will terminate in a slower offense aside from Samedy. In addition, while McGraw is excellent, losing Barnes may put a dent in their passing, again, affecting the offense. They may prove me wrong, but I wouldn't underestimate the perfect fit they had with SSS in that system.

Preseason poll is not far away. If you are part of the polling bunch, who do write down? Stanford Nebraska Minnesota BYU Wisconsin Kentucky Illinois Texas Penn State Florida USC Pitt Purdue Marquette Louisville Oregon Baylor Michigan Florida State Washington How far off is this list? Who needs to be included? I did not look at last year’s final ranking. Not a fan of simulating 2018’s results. The top three is about right. BYU might be a little high right now for me, Kentucky as well. But your list is ok. After the first month, we should be able to see who are potentially going to be the teams to beat.

Is PSU really a top 5 team this year ?? My answer: no I wouldn't put them in my top 10. Their situation on the left pin is not great.

After the pre-conference home schedule, I can see the Wahine anywhere between 15-20. At the start of the BWC schedule, anywhere between 10-15. Top 10, if they sweep through their pre-conference schedule, undefeated.

Soooooo to start the season 1. Stanford (obvs) 2. Wisconsin 3. Texas 4. Minnesota 5. Kentucky 6. Nebraska 7. USC 8. Florida 9. Illinois 10. BYU 11. Oregon 12. Washington 13. Penn State 14. Marquette 15. Pitt 16. Tennessee 17. Purdue 18. Hawai’i (Hawai’i fans have me convinced) 19. Creighton 20. Cal Poly After the first 15 it got difficult. Also, almost every team in the top 10-15 other than Stanford, Wisconsin, Texas and Kentucky seemed to lose multiple key players.

Am I missing something? What’s with the penn state love ? Decades of goodwill. When a program "figures it out" almost every year regardless of lineup, they tend to get the benefit of the doubt.
