What company, still going strong, began with the name "BackRub" in 1996?
Current name was registered in 1997.

Vicks
Maker of Vicks Vaporub
Just a guess. Probably wrong because I seem to recall Vicks Vaporub in the 1970s, but not sure. It's possible I heard about it in the 1990s.

Well, I looked up the answer and believe it or not, I was thinking about that company. But then, I second guessed myself and asked, "Was it really Backrub when it started?"

Dolphins and Humans are the only species to have sex for fun. ;) How do you know? Bonobos seem to have the same relationship to sex as humans have, except for not having internet porn.

I had no idea what BackRub could be, so I looked it up. Definitely wasn't what I was expecting. Even reading the explanation for the name, I can only kind of see what they were going for, as the connection to the name and what this company actually does is fairly tenuous.

BackRub became Google, just for the record.

BackRub became Google, just for the record. Google isn't Google anymore. Or, well, I guess it is in a sense, but they reorganized into a company called Alphabet, then formed a subsidiary once again called Google. But what was Google before 2015 is now Alphabet, and what is Google now is a new company that is owned by Alphabet.

A good stock symbol is a valuable asset.

I don't know if any of you old farts remember this. There was a brand of flavored peanut butter named "Koogle" in the 1970s. I remember chocolate but there were others. Perhaps vanilla. When Google hit big in the late 1990s, I thought of "Koogle" first, but incorrectly remembered its name as "Google." As for its taste, I thought Koogle was awesome! But I was just a boy so anything ___________-flavored was the cat's pajamas.
