Michigan MAC Update - Conference Week 3:
Will the Central Michigan magic ever end? Mike Gawlik's Chippewa team has already surpassed their 2018 win total with a couple of home court victories on Homecoming weekend. After taking out a favored Ball State team on Friday night in 4; CMU came from behind to outlast the Toledo Rockets in what some called "the greatest" CMU volleyball match they have seen. The Chips are now 6-0 and riding high atop the MAC West.
Eastern Michigan split their weekend pair, beating Toledo in 4 sets on Friday and getting edged by Ball State on Saturday. Senior Cassie Haut had a season best 21K in the 5 set loss.
Western Michigan dropped a tough 5 setter to NIU on Thursday and got swept by Bowling Green on Saturday. A highlight of the weekend was senior libero Kathleen Reilly getting honored for being only the third Bronco in history to reach 2,000 digs.
