What international pin didn't look good against this group. Because the top pins on good international junior teams are just as good as elite recruits in the U.S. It's ridiculous to think she wouldn't be among the top recruits in the class of 2020 if she had a blue passport. If she wasn't, Texas wouldn't have offered her. Exactly. She’s committed to one of the best recruiting schools in the country, wouldn’t surprised if she’s on a full ride. She led her team in kills agains proven ncaa players. 1-2 years older than her. And she holds her own against the best players in the world. She would 100% be a big time American recruit

Oh Lord, let's not start THIS again. Parra is a talent but she's also a 5'9 OH who primarily plays out of the back row for Mexico because she really struggles blocking bigger players (I posted a full statistical breakdown in the Texas thread). To suggest she'd be the top recruit in the country is... optimistic. I present to you 5'8" Member-Meneh. I guess we will just have to see. Just curious, What are your thoughts on Victoria, if familiar? While LMM is a good example of a shorter player being effective, and there are certainly many more, I'm not sure that's a good analogy. LMM jumps out of the gym while Parra isn't as vertically gifted.

She would 100% be a big time American recruit No she wouldn’t be. If she was American she would’ve been phased out of the pipeline before high school and therefore would’ve lost the international experience that’s proven her valuable. The likelihood an American junior club would’ve managed her talent properly is extremely low. She was propelled to the front because she lives in a weak volleyball market that needed her talent. Here she would’ve been long passed over for taller talent with “more potential”.
