CRAZY last point in 2nd set. Long rally won by Cal. Cal coach almost ran into the court from wanting a double called on Ewert...after his team got away with doubles. Not a good look by him.
Cal up 2-0 in match in 2 close sets that Colorado led most of it. Too many Colorado hitting errors and clean ball by Cal.
Colorado looking MUCH better. Best they have been since the 2nd week of play when they beat Illinois and Iowa...maybe even the best all season.

Colorado up 15-12 in 3rd set. Have a decent lead AGAIN. Can they close this one out after leading most of the time again?
I have to say, Colorado is looking very good. Now that Freshman, Katie, is playing DS in back row after not playing in a college match until Friday. She is passing and serve-receiving very well, and Colorado can get in system. Elyssa Alcantara is hitting .423 so far in the match as a Freshman that hasn't seen a lot of court time. Colorado is doing very well against #15 Cal. IF they keep it up, they will win a number of matches in the 2nd half of PAC play.
CU Freshman are the key to this team this year. The 2 seniors aren't doing their job as much.

I agree Colorado looks much better than they have been. Cal looking just a bit off in every phase of the game. The best they played was that long rally in set 2. Otherwise just a bit sloppy.

Colorado wins 4th set at Cal! Finally pulls out the win after leading most of each of the first 3 sets.
CU Freshman are carrying this team. Alcantara, Lougeay, Parker, Perry. There are 4 Freshman on the floor and 3 Sophomores.
Both teams hitting over .300 for the match! It's a good match.

Colorado goes way up in 4th set, and Cal creeps up AGAIN to get closer at 23-20. TO Colorado.
I can't say enough how much the CU freshmen that have had little to no court experience yet....Katie Lougeay in passing and digging, Elyssa Alcantara in hitting. Then you have freshman, Sterling Parker doing well today in hitting and blocking. GOOOO Colorado Freshman!

Both teams are still hitting over .300 after 4 sets. Very high quality match overall.

Cal setter seems to keep making poor decisions in critical moments. Ugh. Their back row is really spotty today as well. Go Bears, let’s close it out!
