I don't know. I imagine most are similar. You have the student section, which has no interest in being nice. You have the "friends and family" who are probably the most annoying; "Double!!! That was a Double!!!" every 15 seconds. You have the legion of MS, HS and D3 teams showing up as a group, who usually just sit there all adorable like. You have the randos from the community, who mostly just want to blend into the crowd and watch the game, without drawing much attention to themselves. You have the dads that take their young daughters, for a little fun bonding time. Anyone else? This is extremely accurate. The only thing I'd add are the opposing fans, though they usually fit into the annoying, "That was a double!" group.

which college volleyball team has the nicest fans? What an asinine question. Signed, Stanford fan You need fans at games before anyone can discern your disposition.

The worst fans, I have to say Utah State and New Mexico State at one time...when Hawaii was competing in the WAC. NMSU students section would taunt the players, Utah State...they throw stuff on the court.

Are you guys kidding? Hawaii! We give frikkin' leis to visiting doofs! If we are talking about Arena fans and not message board fans then definitely Hawaii. Going to games growing up—it used to annoy me to no end that despite having a packed house fans would never like yell loudly to disrupt the opponents serving and cheer way too hard when the other team made a great play. Remember when Dave Shoji had to call the fans out for being too nice to Long Beach State? (Then our big rival) It’s only the newer generation of fans that will (sometimes) cheer loudly to disrupt the opponents’ serve. My vote for the worst is Rice.

Midwestern fans; definitely not coastal fans. East coast are too sarcastic and West coast are too indifferent.
I haven't met enough Hawaii fans to know, except the ones on this site, but the spend too much time fighting amongst each other to know for sure. LOL!

We’re just overly passionate and sorry to say a select few retarded.

At some schools you will get a good group of local senior citizens who support the team. I think they deserve their own group.
