If Wisconsin wins out, I feel they should have the #4 seed over Pittsburgh. If they win out and don't get the #4 seed, then I would bet with 99% certainty that the committee will pair them up with Pittsburgh and send them there.
If they do get a Top 4 seed, depending on how things go, they could actually get a worse Elite 8 draw.

The National Invitational Volleyball Championship (NIVC), now run by Triple Crown Sports, is set up almost identically to the WNIT (also run by TCS). So in both of those postseason tournents, the highest-finishing team (regular season record) in each of the 32 conferences not selected for the NCAA tourney gets an auto-bid to the NIVC.
Based on your Bracketology, here would be the NIVC field (if they all accepted the bid):
Atlantic 10 -------- VCU AAC --------------- SMU ACC --------------- GA Tech America East ----- New Hampshire Atlantic Sun ------ FGCU Big East ---------- Villanova Big Ten ----------- Ohio State Big 12 ------------ Texas Tech Big Sky ---------- Weber State Big South -------- High Point Big West --------- UC-Davis Colonial ---------- James Madison Conference USA - Marshall Horizon ---------- UIC Ivy League ------ Yale Metro Atlantic --- Canisius Mid-American --- Miami(OH) Mid-Eastern ----- NC A&T St Missouri Valley -- Loyola Chi Mountain West -- Wyoming Northeast -------- Robert Morris Ohio Valley------- Jacksonville State Pacific-12-------- Arizona State Patriot ----------- Colgate Southeastern --- LSU Southland ------- Sam Houston State Southern -------- East Tennessee State Summit --------- South Dakota Sun Belt -------- Coastal Carolina Southwestern -- Alabama A&M Western Athletic- Grand Canyon West Coast ----- Pepperdine
(not sure if this belongs in the bracketology thread, but what the heck)

Just barely, 395 miles from Louisville to Marquette. 450 miles to Wisconsin.... I did a ton of research after completing my bracket, specifically on the travel distance. I think if the committee stays frugal, they're going to keep Louisville in Lexington because that would be a drive-in, 70 miles.... Purdue to Marquette would actually be 40 miles closer compared to Purdue to Kentucky.... Honestly though, I'm hoping the committee surprises us all and mixes it up..... Did you post it in the last thread? Can you share it here too? Would like to see the total number of flights you have compared to mine. I think it doesn’t matter how far they are — as long as they are within 400 miles the NCAA doesn’t have to pay? So 70 vs. 395 is irrelevant, right? 1. Baylor, Stephen F. Austin, Georgia, Alabama State 16. BYU, Utah, UCSB, Denver 8. Nebraska, Missouri, San Diego, American 9. Florida, UCF, Florida State, Kennesaw State 4. Wisconsin, Northern Iowa, Iowa State, Milwaukee 13. Marquette, Purdue, Dayton, Ball State 5. Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Wright State, Sacred Heart 12. Creighton, Louisville, UCLA, Samford 2. Texas, Texas State, Cal, Albany 15. Texas A&M, Rice, Oklahoma, Winthrop 7. Kentucky, Western Kentucky, Northern Kentucky, SE Missouri State 10. Minnesota, South Dakota, Washington State, Fairfield 3. Stanford, Cal Poly, Illinois, Princeton 14. Penn State, Norte Dame, Towson, Howard 6. Washington, Michigan, Pepperdine, Northern Colorado 11. Hawaii, Colorado State, Southern California, New Mexico State I have Pepperdine and South Dakota in over South Carolina and Green Bay....

11. Hawaii, Colorado State, Southern California, New Mexico State That's a brutal sub-region. Reminds me of 2011 with Hawaii, Colorado State and Oregon - plus New Mexico State is no slouch either

And then after the tough match we had against the Rams, we played the #1 team at the time.

it’s gonna be a Pitt/Wisconsin regional either way, just depends on who gets to host

I feel like the committee may give WKU the 16 seed over BYU.

In order to maximize the # of drive-ins - you would have to make these changes. Pepperdine would have to go Stanford. Notre Dame cannot go to Penn State - way too many choices not to have all drive-ins to Penn State. Notre Dame would have to go to either Wisconsin, Kentucky or Marquette. And then to make room this would push either Northern Iowa or Iowa State to Minnesota, Nebraska, or Creighton. I didn't find any other areas where drive-ins were not maximized.

They have to beat PSU to get a top 4 or they could be lower unless Pitt or Texas chokes (home vs Louisville and at Iowa State, respectively), which I don’t see happening.
