My actual point is that it's way beyond time for the NCAA to seed EVERY team in the 64 team tournament based on legitimate factors including strength of conference. BYU is NOT comparable in strength to the top teams in the PAC12 and B1G. And how was it possible for San Diego to beat Washington State (winning 55% of the points)? I guess the strength of the PAC didn't pull them through.

Then point to that as your argument... Don't use the Colorado match from SEPTEMBER when the NW match is a better, more recent example of Illinois' radical swing in level of play. Duh. You're better than that. Well since you’re talking about B1G #7 versus PAC #3, it’s relevant to point out that they are 0-3 on neutral courts against both top and bottom PAC teams. Relevant to what...? The original point made (that I disagreed with) was that UCSB's performance against Texas was not an outlier performance and that they're actually a good team. How the hell does Illinois' record have anything to do with that? Getting into the weeds about who Illinois did and did not beat tells us what about UCSB...? Why are y'all so bad at following along

So, is this the end of Mary Lake and McKenna Miller? I don't know who they are . . .

I am surprised at the scores of the sets. I'm not surprised Utah won, because they have lots of experience, balance, and IMO one of the best all around players in collegiate volleyball.

Utah played so well. They will beat Stanford if they play like that. When I watched the Utah-Stanford match a couple of weeks ago, Koerber was not a factor. She was on fire tonight. Really hope Utah continues to play at this level and keeps advancing.
BYU 2020 will certainly miss Lake and Miller, especially Lake. But they return two really good middles and some decent OH’s.

Literally three months ago. Lost to Northwestern like a day ago Without Prince who was a starting OH in last years season. Prince was injured for for most of all this season. This team looked a lot different with a healthy Prince on the OH. Illinois looked like a good team yesterday.

I think they will miss both terribly. This was the worst defensive BYU team I have watched in a decade and that was with Mary Lake and a pretty good defensive setter. So in that sense I think you are right. And, BYU has no outsides coming in...hoping BYU can find something in the portal or next year could be brutal.

Congratulations to Utah, what a dominant performance. Got to be so much sweeter doing it in the Smith Fieldhouse. If they keep playing like this I don't know where they end up, but they're going to give everyone everything they can handle. Congrats to Beth and her staff.

Utah was clearly looking past Illinois looking forward to BYU. It almost bit them in the butt. They sure brought it against BYU though!

*coughs* Rank | @allamerican11 | 1 | Baylor | 2 | Texas | 3 | Stanford | 4 | Utah | 5 | Minnesota | 6 | Penn St | 7 | Wisconsin | 8 | Nebraska | 9 | Kentucky | 10 | Washington |
I wasn't going to give you props for having Utah at #4 because I don't think they are in the top 5 teams, but I was going to give you props for being the only voter to not rank BYU in your top 25.
