I'm not a Texas fan at all, but how pissed must that coach that couldn't help her team be? All because some past player wants to relive her glory days...

This whole episode was unfortunate, of course.
But, two points:
1. If it wasn't for Texas' own Longhorn Network and, in particular, their LHN Twitter feed, I'm not sure anyone of importance would have realized this even happened. But the network happened to catch it and briefly mention it, and then LHN memorialized it on Twitter.
2. You could wonder if the incident was for short-term gain and then long-term trouble. Seems likely it fired up Texas against UCSB. But you also have to wonder if a week of distraction might have spelled trouble. (Of course, Louisville played lights out.)

Does this end the thread?! #bye Can someone start a new thread actually? "Could Riley Buechler have made a difference?"

Third point: NCAA obviously reconsidered after reading mike garrison's reaction, and to compensate, granted Louisville superpowers for one match ( they can do that, you know)

I was just remembering the time that Texas fans spent 50 pages claiming there was no rule violation and only haters thought there was. But then the NCAA announced that due to the rules violation, Texas would have to give up one coaching spot in the next tournament match.
