Waste of a live arm, BVS is needed at OH2. Guess there’s no Longo or Akiu type Liberos in the transfer portal. Bummer There's not one we have a chance at it seems.

Averi Salvador, a junior libero from Temple and Punahou School was removed from their roster. Stats look solid as a backcourt specialist. She led the team in digs at 4.73 a game. Looked like she was the starting libero for majority of the season. Not sure what her passing was like overall, but only 15 reception errors on the year. Not too bad. Played lots of matches since her freshman year so comes with a lot of DI experience from a decent conference. Also played for Imi Ike, which I believe was the club Ah Mow coaches? Could we see another Tita Akiu and Kyra Hanawahine in the works? She'd be a perfect addition. Hmmm...
This was also the school that Danielson decommitted from (looks like they recruit heavily out of Hawaii). Hmmm...
Also for what its worth, the USC head coach left which means all the players current and signed could transfer... Akana stay home!

In fact, the USC descision may have done the exact opposite.

These two are exactly what we need. A senior libero with DI experience - with a huge PLUS that she's from Hawaii and played for Ah Mow for club - and a stud local player in Danielson who could develop into a stellar DI libero, ala Tamari Miyashiro. Maybe I'm just too hopeful but it makes sense.... Fingers crossed!

No doubt this could be a dilemma for Keonilei Akana. First, I think she's only getting a 1 or 2 year deal (which means the other 2 years, her family must try to find some other means of funding). Second, the new coach may not want Akana as much as Crouch wanted Akana. Third, maybe Crouch will "take" Akana with him to his new school (Auburn?).

Akana did not commit because of crouch as far as I know, and Im almost 100 percent sure she wont go to auburn.

We need Danielson in the back court. Is there any film on her? Kanani Danielson was one of my favorite players and I know nothing about this one.

No one ever, and I repeat ever, will come out as complete a player that kanani Danielson was. she really was just something special, however baby danielson is VERY good in the back court and would have potential to be a VERY good libero. Devon K out of Kamehameha is also a TREAT to watch. I really really hope Robyn offers her

By the way, Wahine vb peeps, there is no Euro OH recruit in the foreseeable future. The sole Euro recruit was Anna Kiraly (Hungary). I thought the Euro recruit was an OH (per my former UH contact) but I was mistaken. Even in the PM, she said "MB" but due to the Old Fart Syndrome, I thought she said "OH." So, I repeat, there is NO Euro OH recruit. Not even from Turkey. Besides, Turkey is largely in Asia and a small small small part is in Europe. No one would associate Turkey with Europe We will see, Hanna's announcement took a while too. If not the euro OH then hoping for Kristina Jordan or other ace transfer OH

Danielson is a stud in the backcourt. Under the radar nationally because her position for Mililani was OH. She'd be a perfect walk on candidate for UH next year that could earn a scholarship in time. Averi Salvador IMO, could be worth a scholarship with her DI experience and what needs Hawaii has to fill now. . Not sure if Kristina Jordan is worth a scholarship for UH tho... feel UH could do a bit better in terms of an outside transfer for this season or in the future.
