By the way, Wahine vb peeps, there is no Euro OH recruit in the foreseeable future. The sole Euro recruit was Anna Kiraly (Hungary). I thought the Euro recruit was an OH (per my former UH contact) but I was mistaken. Even in the PM, she said "MB" but due to the Old Fart Syndrome, I thought she said "OH." So, I repeat, there is NO Euro OH recruit. Not even from Turkey. Besides, Turkey is largely in Asia and a small small small part is in Europe. No one would associate Turkey with Europe Oh well. there are also accession negotiations with Turkey to the EU (put on hold since 2016)Sport is all part of europe at UEFA. Turkish teams also play in the Champions League. most of the politicians see turkey more in europe. although it is only 3 percent of the landmass in europe, a fifth of the inhabitants of turkey live on the 3 percent

If a walk on DS is our only option, then we should consider investing r last scholie on a dependable OH to fill a vacancy after Sky, Jolie and Brooke graduate. Anna, Westerberg and Krug will battle to fill MH spot, Wagoner & Akana to fill the remaining OH spot.

Anna, Westerberg and Krug will battle to fill MH spot, Wagoner & Akana to fill the remaining OH spot. I don't understand this statement. If a walk on DS is our only option for the 2020 season then we should invest the last scholarship for the 2020 season to an OH who will come in the 2021 season when we will have at least 3 after Sky, Jolie, and Brooke graduate? Is there something I'm missing? Plus i think moving Westerberg and Akana to the pins makes more sense anyway. I think Mia Johnson will be a good supplement to the 2021 Pins and will be great in time but i think it's a better investment to get a full scholie to a standout out 2021 and have them grow in the program. i don't think fishing for transfers we don't necessarily need is worth making a habit. Hawaii shouldn't be proud of becoming everyone's go to second choice. So it's important that the 2019 Class of freshman have improved sophomore seasons to show the depth that was recruited

If we can’t award it 2 a legit L then we award it to a deserving and proven OH. Insurance in case there’s a reoccurrence of injury to our former Duck LS pins.

Ok, it was confusing because you never mentioned anything about injuries and made it sound like the 2020 Pin should be awarded a scholarship because our Pins are graduating, that didn't make any sense. Thanks for the clarification.

Being 2nd choice isn't so bad. LOL!
A lot of people's 1st choice never worked out. Also, you will soon discover that your 1st choice originally became your 1st choice because of some fantasy you've got going in your head, not based on reality.
I'll hazard a guess that a lot of players who never had Hawaii in their radar and who eventually transferred to Hawaii became utterly happy. Also, I bet some former Hawaii players who dreamed of playing for Hawaii came in for a crash landing. You have to know who you are, what makes you happy, and realistically examine school(s) which can fulfill your needs.

Would not be surprised if we see Danielson as a walk-on DS come August. She did de-commit from Temple, and there has been no word on her signing anywhere else. She could be like a preferred walk-on with the idea of awarding her a scholarship in 2021, if she pans out. But like I mentioned, we will not know this until August when fall practice starts, since UH does not announce walk-ons.
So, if Robyn does have a scholarship available, thinking she will hold on to it until later in the Spring, to see what players enter the transfer portal after the Spring season. Need to remember Bailey Choy did not announce her transfer until late Spring, early Summer.

There was talk of Choy-to-UH for most of the 2018 season and in the 2019 spring season. Some UH insider or Choy's friends (or family) was propagating that rumor heavily. I didn't really know Choy and even I knew that rumor.

Just that Bailey Choy's transfer was not announced till after the Spring season, if I am not mistaken. What I was trying to say is, the next transfer if there is on, will probably occur after the Spring season, just like Choy's transfer.

Now if that DS/Libero shows interest back is another question.
