I'm sure it wasn't Byrd. I'll scrub through the replay and get a photo. I gotchu, and yeah you were right, I'm pretty sure this wasn't Byrd. For some reason, when I was watching the game because I didn't recognize her, I automatically assumed she was Byrd haha. This is NOT Byrd. At first, I thought she was a member of the current Wahine women's basketball team but I can't match her to our current roster.

I wasn't gonna post the photo, cuz everyone got all nuts when someone posted Allie Andrews. But yeah, her. Could be another UH athlete, but if not, possible recruit/transfer

She could be Justin Hemsley GF or his sister. She was wearing a UH basketball jersey with the number 42 on it.

Now that I think about it, Gong has the makings of a good beach player. She was an outside in high school and a trained DS in DI indoors. She has potential.

THIS is why I tell my daughter the best way to work your way through college is to be a beach player! Look at where they go to work compared to where Daddy goes to work.

That hotel in the distance to the left of the pink Royal Hawaiian hotel is the Sheraton Waikiki but every time I see it, it reminds me of the Ilikai, which has a similar shape. And when I think of the Ilikai, I think of the Hawaii 5-0 title sequence where the camera zooms in to Jack Lord.

That must mean she is close to being 100% healthy. She will give Robyn another very physical Middle next season. Williams will have to notch it up a few, cause she will have Krug and Kiralyi nipping at her heals.

I don't know if I missed anything in 2018, but I wasn't particularly impressed by Krug. Thought she was serviceable as a back up, but maybe I missed something. I'm sure she can develop, but I couldn't really pick up much on her overall play from just her freshman season.

She is slower on the block however, and our block was our bread and butter this past year

If she could develop into a Kalei Adolpho like player, than great. But perhaps her knee prevented us from seeing how explosive and athletic she was prior to her injury. I'm guessing she played last season not at 100% and decided to use this year to get all the surgery and rehab done to be at her best later. Then again, Krug is a walk on with DI talent, so its a blessing she even is on our team.
