Need to remember, when we last saw Krug, in 2018, she was not 100% healthy. She was still recovering from her knee injury. Not to mention, she had to undergo another knee surgery after the 2018 season. When 100% healthy, she is a lot quicker, and will not be overpowered by any hitter. She will also overpower blocks, just like Igiede did, last year. It would not shock me if she replaces Williams at some point next season.

Krug is out of shape and not D1 material as of this past year. Look at ALL of the top talent teams. They have thin, muscular, and athletic middles. I'd love to see her transform into that player. I'm not seeing it.

Krug may not have their height but please don’t assume you know what her body composition is going to be by next season. Sounds real foolish on your part.

Getting back to being 100% and being able to train, she will get back to where she want to be in body form, and stamina. I believe people will be pleasantly surprised how she has transformed her body being able to truly train, 100%.

Wish her nothing but the best.

I gotchu, and yeah you were right, I'm pretty sure this wasn't Byrd. For some reason, when I was watching the game because I didn't recognize her, I automatically assumed she was Byrd haha. This is NOT Byrd. At first, I thought she was a member of the current Wahine women's basketball team but I can't match her to our current roster. It may not be. but it’s already in Hawaii. seen earlier in a story by akana on instagram. with amber three in the gym.

I think we'll be fine at middle even after Sky graduates. Let Westerberg, Akana, Kiraly and Krug battle it out. I'd worry more about bringing in quality pin hitters after the former Duck prodigies both graduate in the Fall.

Hellvig is good on the right but we'll need OHs that can terminate as well as receive serve and dig. With all those middles and Hellvig, I think we'll have the right side covered too.

Westerberg and Akana are transitioning to either OH, or OPP. Robyn will most likely get one more Middle for 2021, and beyond. The other remaining scholarships will go to OH/OPP hitters. That is what I am thinking.

I think it would be funny if Ah Mow followed Charlie Wade's playbook and recruited 2 setters every year -- even with 2-3 setters on the roster. See, e.g., Jack Walmer, Austin Buchanan. LOL!

Charlie recruited well for the future beyond the greatest recruiting class ever in UH Men's VB history (the 2015 class). With Chaz, Dimi, Humler and Spyros, we are pretty loaded at the pins. 5 setters, Sheward is developing still but he is dependable so far and Walmer (Mira Costa HS)is rated as 1st team All American per Volleyballmag.com. Buchanan is also no slouch as a setter. We'll be fine with Gage and Logan Sharp at Libero. We may need a middle to replace Gasman for next year although Max is looking pretty good these days. Back to Wahine VB,I'm hoping Robyn will find success recruiting quality 6 rotation pins and a quality Libero.

You see Mylana Byrd in that story/video and she looked nothing like that girl at the arena.
