As stands now, I would have to go with Wisconsin, Baylor, Texas and Florida as my FF favorites. PSU, Utah, NE, Pitt, Stanford (all teams a transfer of 1-2 players away of being in FF) and maybe a few others would be on the outside looking in. Stanford is not getting a transfer. Stanford doesn't take transfers. Gates was a very unique situation. She was less of a transfer and more of an incoming graduate student with a year of eligibility left.

Additionally, Gates reached out to the volleyball program after being accepted to Stanford. volleyballmag.com/ncaa-volleyball-121819/Yes. Gates was accepted on her own merits. Her application was not flagged by the Athletic Department as a potential SA. Could a similar situation play out in the future? I'm not holding my breath, but it's certainly more possible than Stanford taking an undergrad transfer.
