USC fans... the list that is posted here is unrealistic. How about this list: Morrison, Nolan, Mansfield, Mansfield (one LMU one Stanford asst), Van Niel, Sunahara, Alvey (I think this is the most likely considering the AD), Hampton-Keith, Wong, Rosenthal, Carlston Tom Black is unrealistic but Hampton-Keith is? Well, she is currently unemployed...

That .447 winning % is not a stat that gets your phone ringing. Also, only 4 winning seasons which happen to be the four seasons that Jordan Thompson played. They went 13-19 during season Thompson sat out with Knee injury... so unless she has another Jordan Thompson in her back pocket why would she be a good hire? trojansc you also said she would be a "nice" hire! SMH As much as the Athletic Dept might be a dumpster fire currently we're still talking about USC women's volleyball! This is a program that is one of the select few to have won a natty, is in a P5, a conference that is always in the debate as being the #1 or #2 conference in WVB, and is a perennial top 25 team. Even if they don't open their wallet as wide as they can they still should be able to get a coach that is worthy of the opportunity. She’s from the #AAC Baby! Did you not see my other suggestions? I am setting the bar intentionally low so I can either be impressed with USC not screwing it up. Or we can be yet again disappointed with the USC AD! I wanted to keep Mick. This board is funny. So many people were calling for him to go. They said his time was up, the game is evolving and he isn’t, USC *NEEDED* “a change”. Even after he got fired initially there were still a few supporters of that decision saying it was time. Then of course Donna gets exposed (after I tried to tell ya’ll the lady was a biotch). And now everyone acts sympathetic. Funny how that works. I get it he wasn’t perfect, but whatever he did bad the USC administration 100x worse

I see some people saying RR needs to retire soon because he is too "old school" and players of today want the warm "kumbaya" coaches. Mick and RR are the type of coaches that will make all their players better, but maybe a few of their players will not always like them. Honestly, you basically put the bar on the ground!!! LMAO

I did PM President Folt concerning the Jerritt Elliott rumblings. I told her been here, done that we don't want him back. No way Elliott is leaving Texas... He has too much clout, good will, etc., built up there and USC is never going to come close to his current salary. I think Tom Black would be the best option, and he probably would be very interested because that would get him back to the west coast and USC is a top 15 coaching opportunity. I also think this may come down to where hiring a wvb coach falls in the new AD priority list. There's a lot of "to do's" on that list!!!

I know a group of girls who were "demo" players for Mick's master coaches clinic. They would all play for him in a heartbeat because they love his direct approach. I'm sure some players like the coddling, but some really feed off of that direct approach. If that is old school coaching, I hope it never totally fades away!

He has to be either number 1 or 2 when it comes to highest paid coaches

If so, that's akin to UCLA men's basketball "targeting" John Calipari. It's not going to happen (and in UCLA's case, got them roundly mocked), and it would also be indicative of a program that is not realistic about just how attractive their job actually is.

Yep, good ol' Saint Mick. Not a saint. But look at who he was surrounded with. Was he worse than Ali K, Jovan Vavic, and all the others indicated in the admission $$$ $candal ? Clearly not.

I know all that data is available but not going to track it down. I think if the USA were to win the Olympic gold in women's volleyball and there were some high profile NCAA HC jobs that opened up after 2020 season someone would throw huge coin at Karch.

Coach,s USC does not want Cook, Wise, Rose and Ulmer I don't think you have to worry about the first three... Cook is retiring from Nebraska and likes the simple life there outside of vball. Wise is not going to leave the comforts and money of the SEC, and she has built Florida into a dynasty in the SEC regardless of if she hasn't ever won the big one. Rose get free ice cream and has flavors named after him... nuff said!!!
