That's a good showing against a ranked team. The 3 and 4 pairs seem solid. Moving forward we'll have to see where Madi Skinner fits into the pairings once she comes back from her USA Volleyball stuff

Texas beats Nebraska. All 3 of the beach player pairs won their matches fairly handily. (logos are reversed again) Why do the scores show three Nebraska wins? At 1,3 and 4.

Looking back at the start of this thread there's a lot of questions on how seriously the program would be taken. Is it fulfilling its potential?

Looking back at the start of this thread there's a lot of questions on how seriously the program would be taken. Is it fulfilling its potential? It will, starting next year. Stein Metzger didn't win 2 National Championships, earn a #1 ranking a bunch of different years, only to give up everything he built at UCLA just to come to Texas for a sport that isn't taken seriously. They'll be playing in Gulf Shores next year. That's his mission.

Read the post. Logos are reversed. And the names of the schools as well. the names of the schools are correct. we won the 1s, 3s, and 4s pair. it says "Point: TEX" on all of those. and it says TEXAS 3 at the top, which is accurate. the only thing incorrect are the logos corresponding to the names and schools!

Especially if they lose to CSUN like this weekend. They will be better next year, but will be SIGNIFICANTLY better the year after. Very good recruiting class for 2025.

Either way, he came here to play in the tournament next year. He wants to be the fastest program to win the National Championship, Faster than he did it at UCLA. He doesn't come here if Texas wasn't taking the sport seriously.

Obviously any good coach in any sport wants to win a national championship and no doubt he will have a good chance at Texas. But things are a little more difficult now. Back then the only four teams who even had a chance were UCLA, USC, Florida State and maybe Pepperdine. Nobody can even pretend that anybody else was close. Now there are about a half dozen or more teams that could get into that conversation.
He came to Texas because they took it seriously and wanted to play in the tournament but he is not here UNLESS he was was going to make a lot more money here. No doubt, no question. Lot of talent in Texas, less competition in state right now and a chance to make bank in clinics. I'm not blaming him, most of us would but the money is the reality. Otherwise, he is still in L.A.

i don't know enough about beach volleyball to understand this: why do indoor players struggle so much? it's volleyball. everyone is playing in sand. it's not like jenna and ella suddenly forgot how to play volleyball
