Saw another "lacrosse" goal highlight this morning (actually disallowed by an off side review). I have seen a few over years, fine, but it seems to be happening more. Is it a valid hockey play? You can not throw the puck into the net with your hand, should you be able to carry, and then throw, it in the net with your stick? I don't think I would mind if they made it illegal.

I think itās valid. Itās a high degree of difficulty move (I would imagine). I know it sucks for the goaltender to try and defend that but Iām for more goals! I saw one where one player ālacrossedā it in the air to a teammate who then batted it into the goal with his stick. I didnāt think they were allowing ālacrosseā goals in the NHL. Was that where you saw your highlight?

Once youāre not throwing the puck into the net or deflecting it in with your hand,Iām good with however it crosses the line.

hockey doesn't have a lift/carry rule when it comes to the puck on the stick, so I don't see why it shouldn't be allowed.

I think carrying the puck in any style should not be a legal play. The purist in me doesn't like it, but the other side says, "It's way cool to see!". Again, it comes with such a high degree of difficulty (I imagine) that I'm willing to accept it.

Canada wins the World Jrs. tournament for back-to-back gold medals! Watching this tournament was always the highlight of the season for me back when I lived up North.

Somewhat OT, but when I was in Southern California after Christmas I saw a couple of NHL games. Havenāt seen a game in person for at least 15 years, Enjoyed the Kings game. The Ducks game felt kind of dead. There was a lot to do before/after in LA. In Anaheim thereās basically just one restaurant across the street and the train station. Maybe a 20 minute walk to some restaurants in Orange.
