That would be great if Munciana and KIVA joined the fray! Did you plan on vacationing in Vegas until late July, Nationals ends on the 11th! 10 days later than last year for 14s and 15s! GJNC stretching all the way to July 11th is horrible.

I think it’s likely we’ll see a lot of USAV teams at AAUs this year. I have little to no desire to be in Las Vegas with my youngsters again this summer, and even less desire to be there that late in July. Cool. Good for you. There are always quite a few USAV qualifying teams that do both. As was mentioned, Munciana doesn’t generally do USAV, but are at a qualifier this weekend. The spread in dates is likely to draw some of the traditionally AAU only teams to consider doing both, if for no other reason than they get an extra month of training in. You having a bad day? I hope it gets better for you.

Hey club people! I started a VT thread yesterday where folks are sharing their thoughts about the top talent in the 2026 recruiting class and wanted to broadcast it here in case some of y'all have familiarity with that class and would like to participate. I'm putting together a list of all the player names mentioned and updating it on the second post of the thread. Here's a link to it: I realize your thread here pertains to 17s and 18s but I thought this would still be a good spot to share it and solicit input, especially since some talented 2026s might be playing a level or two up.
Thanks!

MEQ is through 2 days of play. 5 teams are undefeated in 18 Open. Tri-State, Munciana, 1st Alliance, Academy Indy, and Six Pack. Tri-State hasn't dropped a set. 3 teams remain undefeated in 17 Open. Legacy, Sting and OT.
Anyone in Indy with any reports?

1st Alliance and Dynasty 18s lost a lot. But I would expect their 17s to be very good this year. Who did 1st Alliance lose? About the Milwaukee Sting teams... every year there is someone hyping them up and then the results don't actually add up. I believe we heard the same thing about them last year. Milwaukee Sting 17-Gold won the 17-open division at Triple Crown. The hype is real.

They finished 9th at MEQ going 0-2 in final day of Gold pool play. 6-2 overall for the tournament. I think on any given day a number of these teams can be over hyped. As someone previously mentioned. You can have the same teams play several times and you're likely to get a different outcome each time. There doesn't seem to be one clear powerhouse...yet...is it still early?

I much prefer watching games where anything can happen.

Funny to me that Florida teams like Tribe and OT are playing in Chicago instead of Big South, a far easier qualifier. Not sure what they were thinking there.
