Latvia goes three but gets through. Its amazing with all the coaching and practice these teams do that so many idiotic errors still take place. France down 13-10 in Game 3 goes with a standing float serve to Tina.
Then they get beat by Tina standing on the ground while pirouetting from 5 feet off the net to lose the match.

If BVB is accurate, in 1991, 11 players made $68K (7 players made $100k+). 21 players made $31k+. This would be equivalent to today 21 players making $68k+ a year.
Last year nobody made more than $42k+. And 8 people made $30k+.
Yea Beach Volleyball is basically a dead sport professionally.

Erring has little to do with skill. It's mostly nerves.

No American women's teams in the main draw of a Challenger in the Western Hemisphere. Maybe the USA isn't as deep as we all thought. Where are all the recent NCAA grads? Well, Tina graduated less than two years ago and she’s seeded 2nd in this tourney. 😝 Julia also less than two years ago would be up there as well if not recovering as mentioned. ✌️ Cannon signed up with…. … … fivb.12ndr.at/tournament?tcode=WNAT2024&timezone=24Geena for the May E16 in Brasilia. Who had that on their bingo card?

ugh, so far a beatdown. USA having trouble siding out... just sending over easy balls to dig.

Who had that on their bingo card? Interesting. That tells me Betsi’s toe hasn’t healed, as they were supposed to play until their regular partners became available. But Cannon might not even get in with Urango. 1372 entry points is probably not going to be enough. Why didn’t she ask Harward? Or Savvy or Quiggle? Cannon has had some bad partner luck, but she’s missing out on a lot of important international experience.

Your system has loads of players to be proud of 💪❤️

I feel like Canada and Latvia should win their semis easily but we'll see. Both teams can implode.
Maybe Sophie and Heather pick up their first gold together!!
I will be rooting for the underdogs (GER & LTU), though.

Here are the attack percentages through the bronze medal match for all quarterfinal teams + France's Richard and Swiss Mader/V-D. I added the USA qualifier stats. You can see what a big gap there is from the USA teams and the rest - and the gap between Tina and the rest of the attackers. Heather Bansley currently the top attacking defender.
Recife Challenge Attack Percentage (points minus errors divided by total attempts) 0.000% Graudina Tina (LAT) .667 Raupelyte (LTU) 547 Richard (FRA) 485 Raupelyte (LTU) 466 Ittlinger (GER) 446
Bansley Heather (CAN) 439 Verge-Depre Anouk (SUI) 438 Klinger Dorine (AUT) 430 Silva Taina (BRA) 427 Mader (SUI) 419

Do Bansley/Bukovec have a chance to make Paris still? If so, what is Pavan's plan to stay ahead of them?
