George and Andre is currently taking it to Carambula and Ranghieri.
Carambola/Ranghieri were one of my favorite teams to watch early last season but they seem to be struggling recently.

I think so and have thought so since Mol started to come down a bit. I just assume Ahman’s brilliance these days and appreciate Helvig for how good he is as well. That’s the beauty of these great teams and partners is after a while you understand who the best player in the world is and then you shift your focus to their partner and how outstanding they are in their own regard. I just had this conversation earlier tonight but the greats are great, but there is a tremendous weight on the shoulders of their partners to get them the wins when everyone is avoiding the best player on the court however they can. Part of Ahman’s greatness and the innovation of their game is he’s harder to avoid. He’s going to get you in both facets regardless.

Both he and Ahman have put in the work together to become the team they are now. Ahman is the superior player, in my opinion. But he can't play by himself, much less at a high level.

You have to be built for it mentally. I’ve lived it on a way lower scale for a lot of my playing days.

USA are getting trounced. Wickler is by far the best player on the court

well, I didn't expect them to be sharp in their first real tournament since Pro Tour Finals. That is 6 months of lack of exposure to elite competition. Both erred a lot.
Next match will be telling. Mexico was hardly a test, so their second real match in six months should give a better indication of their progress. If they fail to dispatch CUB in straights, as GER did, that is confirmation that taking six months off may set them back quite a bit.

USA are getting trounced. Wickler is by far the best player on the court Clemens Wickler has been one of my favorite players since I first saw him at the 2019 Worlds when he was with that freakishly athletic guy whose name is evading me. This will always be a tough out for USA but even more so with it being their second match back on the World Tour.
