Of course it’s early but Babcock just looked out of sync.

Side thoughts:
I didn't think Pitts setter was that good. She threw up some serious trash that if keeps up will bite them in the ass. Pitt definitely benefitted from the new setting rule.
Onye didn't hit well, but I don't think it was her, the sets were just too low.
Pusalaj wasn't good on defense. Got called on lifts a couple of times on 1h sets that they didn't replay so it was hard to tell on camera.
Oregons serve receive was trash, so may e that contributed to Roberta's setting issues.
Oregons block really picked up on the 2nd and 3rd sets and was what kept us in the game.
Pitts defense is what was the real difference in the match for me. It was nothing free dropped, great block defense. But at the end, Oregon still had chances in 2nd and 3rd sets.
Oregon was definitely hurt by having an almost complete turnover on their roster, the gel was not there

She doesn’t usually set that aggressively or attempt some of the things she did. Very clear to me that this is a coaching thing they think they can benefit from

Fairbanks did alot of quick setting its true that didnt always work, but to say she wasnt good is extreme. Yes Ducks setter didnt set high enough for Onye and Colby, I agree. That connection will take time. She hasnt been practicing with them very long. Her floor defense was not good, thats true. To say their serve receive was trash is also extreme. It got better as the match went on imo. Yes this grpup of players needs more time together, but to push the 4th ranked team in set 2 and 3 was a positive sign. Lets hope they dont have a let down vs LB Sunday.

I still don't understand how it's possible there isn't a stream for Pitt vs LBSU. Come on, Oregon....

Even a decent amount of the dinky mid-majors managed a stream on matches that their team wasn't participating in. Not like anyone is asking for announcers (I'd rather they didn't have one, honestly, I just want to watch). And I am going to continue to complain about it. Because it's stupid.

I think you're completely justified in complaining about it. I don't think Texas has ever streamed a match between schools when Texas isn't involved unless it's the tournament. Ever. There's a post on here that talks about it for this year. Plenty of schools of all kinds of resources that stream all the matches. Plenty of schools with all kinds of resources that don't. I'd call it pretty normal. And frustrating. Normal and frustrating, that's what I'd call it.

Pitt crushing LB so far, up 2 sets, led by Stafford with 7 kills. They even have some of their non-starters playing. That is just how good Pitt is.

Anyone notice the NCAA site has the score and rosters reversed for this game? I just went to see the play by play and it looks like Beach is crushing it.

NCAA is very inconsistent with getting stats correct. Someone needs to be fired. Any one of us VTers could do a better job lol

I'd just be happy if they showed the scoreboard feed with no announcers, since they are going to do that, anyways.
