Good learning experience. This team can win or lose to anyone so it's going to be one of those seasons.
Passing broke down and we had a hard time scoring OOS with that big block there. Team is going to have to find a way to win with Caylen having off nights since thats what will happen sometimes.

Cannot wait to see what a BIG Texas Team does to the Wahine. Texas is a lot BIGGER and BETTER then Pepperdine is. After Texas dismantles the Wahine Team in the 1st Set, they will not allow the Wahine team back into the match, like the other teams do.

Idk I think I just want to see a Caylen/Tali OH pairing vs Caylen/Stella. I know it throws some things off with the subs but I think it’s worth looking at if Tali can be better help than Stella. She was high error for no reason, just picking bad shots. I like the pairing of Alexander and Hakas better as well. Hakas I'd also the better passer/defender than Adeyemi. I would then move Mane to OPP for a bigger presence stopping opposing OHs. Isn't Hakas natural position OH and not OPP anyway?

Tayli and Mili played terrific, and Tali looked a lot better than last week. It’s too bad their efforts went for naught.

Yea Tali is a natural OH but tbh I think Stella just won her spot over the summer while Tali was in Israel. Personally I don’t think Stella is even passing poorly but she’s just not putting up numbers we need that position to put up to balance things out when Caylen is backrow. Although I say keep Mane in reserve and give Stella the start at Opp. We just need someone to be sharper on the out of system stuff.

You finally got out from under your rock for a Wahine loss to gloat over huh? It’s really such a shame that snatched that screen name and now all you do is troll this team incessantly. You are the worst kind of cockroach

Kind of love that from you, as a fan of a huge B1G team in transition, but loving the fight of The Wahine, despite the first set issues!

This is a young Hawaii team, disappointed with the loss tonight but I expect the Bows to win tomorrow. Need to cut down on the errors. A lot of promise with the team but Robin is probably going to have her Tita bun up all season. 😄 That said, excited to see Mili grow and continue to watch Leyva shine. She and Tayli make a great backcourt for the Bows. As for whinefan, good riddance!

Yes, of course, on the ironically named "fan.". Cripes, you know volleyball, you can see it for The Wahine for 2024 and beyond, right? I can.

Mane looks like she's been training as a primary Opposite though, while I'm not sure Stella has taken reps on the right at all. Mane also adds some much needed size to the block. Honestly the biggest problem (in my opinion) with switching out Stella is what to do with Victoria. Caylen stays in 6 rotations as a point scorer, a defensive specialist is the last thing Tali needs (maybe not the last thing but in general would be a waste.) Leyva would only really be able to switch for Mane, which removes the possibility of the 6-2, which has also been rather impactful. Victoria is just too good to let go to waste.
