oh it was Chester nvm. her top returning liberos. she put all of Ramsey Gary, Kate G, and Oglivie over her lol. my bad EE! Blasphemy!
But, we do play Stanford, Indiana and Houston in the next few weeks. And none of those liberos has a NC ring or TWO! So, I guess we'll see!

Talks to bench Smrek are incredibly short sighted and myopic. You know for a fact her ceiling is higher than anyone you can replace her with, so you ride out the growing pains until her connection with Charlie improves. That pays you more dividends in December than swapping CC in does now.

Akana and Halter omg those numbers.. ate down While we were watching the game, my wife said two things:
1. Why does Wisconsin have two players in libero jerseys? 2. They really should swap Emma out of the libero jersey to giver her a rest
Of course, we explained the libero jersey rule change to her. And then we gave her crap for point (2).
Then I thought why we didn't dress a second player in the libero jersey. You would think, "Oh you want the second best defender with the black jersey". Then you would think, "Well, duh that would be Akana". But then if you did that and both Halter and Akana were both wearing the black jersey they couldn't be in the back together. And then if you then give that second jersey to......Rella Binney? You wouldn't be inserting her in that often would ya? It would save you a "sub" count I suppose right? Rella comes in to serve for Ayden and that would save on the substitution count?
1. Baby Spice is kind of like the energizer bunny. Bros are used to staying in the whole match, it's what happened up until this season. 2. IDK that we would ever give up having Emma on court, her stats in SR and digs against a top-ranked opponent yesterday were insane. 3. I think if we dress another bro it would either be Ramirez or Reese. Whoever is the second bro can't serve unless Emma stops serving - which isn't happening. Rella was pretty good as a DS yesterday, good serve, good OOS setting, good defense

Wisconsin passed that well and still couldn’t get anything out of anyone but Sarah ? Neither Smrek or Booth could kill a ball, that didnt help (neither did general misconnects) Wisconsin passed 2.48 (!!) in rotations 5/6 (the one where trinity was the only front row pin) and they hit .082. Booth and Trinity both hit negative. Yikes! Badgers are in trouble.

I feel like Booth should be more productive than she currently is right now. She has such a high ceiling, she just needs some consistency.

The only reason to put the bro jersey on someone besides Halter is putting it on one of the young uns for game experience in a blow out. Also you best utilize the skills of Akana and Binney by playing them as a DS (second setter and serving). I also won't be surprised if Rameriz and/or Reese redshirt this season.

Feel for Sarah Franklin. She will take around 75 swings in this lopsided (sets three and four anyway) match. She might be having flashback to her MSU days with how many swings she’s taking.

Neither Smrek or Booth could kill a ball It's so weird when you see Smrek's final line (7 / 5 / 23 [.087]), then go back and rewatch. Smrek had the first two points for Wisconsin (at 0-1 and 1-2), a block assist at 12-9, then two kills toward the end of Game 1 (22-21 and 23-22). Four kills and a block, not a bad line. Then her line for each of the next three games was 1 kill / 0 blocks. In the semi-final last year she went 13 / 1 / 23 [.522] with four blocks.

O’Neal wasn’t O’Neal last year until she recovered from her early season injury. Smrek, Franklin, and Orzol all have ankle injuries they’re working through.

I think there has to be strong incentive to stay for the benched pins at texas knowing that the starting 3 are all done after this year. I could see one of bunton or helmers leaving depending on where they end up on depth chart by the end of this year I was thinking Helmers may transfer as well. However, I think Bunton is knocking on the door of a starting position. IMO we're more likely to lose Byrd than Helmers. We've always got more bangers than starting spots and more coming in (Spears and AVW) but a OH with ball control is gonna get more love from JE
