SMU is legit, looking forward to another solid test. they are legit however I fear Nebraska is a nightmare match up for a team like SMU . Nebraska of all the top teams is the hardest to upset imo unless you have like a REALLLLL terminator (Utah 2022 for example) Nebraska defense is gonna eat up the collection of good but not great SMU hitters. I think this won’t be close but it won’t be a reflection of SMU not being good I just think Nebraska feasts in these kind of match ups. okay so my freaking bad but I did think SMU was good no matter the result of this but DAMN |

But didn't you return all your starters except Ally? I would think they would have worked everything out by the end of last year ... Only once have I ever seen a Nebraska team that I thought had things worked out this early. And you know what? That was the only team in a three year stretch that didn’t win a National Championship. Yep. Returned all our players in 2016 after winning the NC in 2015. Completely dominated a #2 Texas team with Nwanebu and Micaya White. Barely made it back to the Final Four after fending off 2 match points from Penn State in the Sweet 16. Got dominated in the Final Four by that same Texas team where PPC decided to finally go off. |

On the bright side Andi Jax had 8 kills no errors hitting .667% Ugh that’s mother! I know Cook never will, but he needs to steal a page from the Rettke-era Wisconsin playbook and have an offense that’s centered around Jackson. She’s too powerful of an offensive weapon to be set only 4 times per set. |

I am so entertained by all of these new issues Nebraska has internally now that they’ve lost a game. Lol
Can we give SMU some props? Incredible coverage at times, terrific block, digging bombs, serving missiles, ripping fearlessly..
Yeah-Nebraska sucked. They were lifeless. Their offense was abysmal. Their defense was non existent. There wasn’t communication. They just looked gassed. Rodriguez…WHAT?!?!?! I get it’s been 4 games in 7 days, and that doesn’t provide a lot of practice time to work on the weaknesses, but my god they have a list to work on now that they have a few days.
It’s just an upset. A shocking upset. But that happens in sports. It’s why the game is played.

NE got outcoached I’ve witnessed her dad coach his high school team to five state championships but I never knew how good Sam was. She set out a flawless game plan and her players executed it to perfection. Props to her and it’s evident coaching is in their blood! |
