There's a lot of bodies on the bench, so Elliott would have to think she would make a difference. Apparently Kahahawai wasn't able to suit out because of a limit of bodies on the bench for travel teams. My guess is we don't see her. But I'm not willing to say she doesn't play this year. My thought is that her serve alone could play a difference at some point. |

I realize that there are devoted fans of a bunch of sports but this conversation (the interview being broadcast before the volleyball starts) is still a little wild to me. Like, they're getting real deep here. I like Joel Klatt. I hated him as a player, but I think he's really good at covering college football.
That's nice. When I was a kid, I followed college football closely and probably woulda dug a conversation like this in the Desmond Howard or Tyrone Wheatley era. As an old guy who no longer follows college football closely, it just feels extreme how deeply they're getting into this stuff. Even if it were a college volleyball coach drilling down into their coaching influences or reliving specific points in critical matches, that would still seem excessive. I know, I'm no fun : )

Disrespect for the game and the girls So dumb that Fox couldn't put a studio show together for between matches. Like they KNOW they are going to have 30 minutes to fill, but I guess they solved that by having it on two different channels. Still idiotic to show an interview that nobody tuning in for the match cares about. |

You're plenty fun! Maybe not about college football, though. It's so much different now, though. I can't wrap my head around $20 million payrolls in college football. |
