IF Kansas beats Creighton they should be 3 in everyone’s rankings…

Key moments: -Up Ref snatching the first set from Purdue with a ridiculous call. -Purdue first set errors -Purdue wasting a 3rd set lead and just watching it happen.

Since they can't call doubles on the set they feel way more prone to calling them on pushes, yes there was spin but I really don't think they call that last year.

Even several years ago when bll handling loosened it was directed that any ball crossing the net or legally blocked should be cleanly played. I would say it prob would have been called last year.

truly cannot decode what you meant by this, but I’ll make it very clear to you that VT ain’t the place to push an anti-trans agenda if that’s what this is. His username is twink power bottom libero. 😭 I don't think he's anti-trans.

Kansas is good, but I fear that London is inconsistent I’ll take average performances in most matches if she plays like this in big ones!

It's possible, and I'm just going off anecdotes, where I don't remember many/any doubles over the net being called, but I have seen several this year, could just be selective memory.

It wasn't called to this severity in years prior. The subjectivity is truly wild right now. The biggest call I've ever seen for this was in a 5th set between Minnesota and Nebraska in 2016. It was the second to last regular season game and was pretty much the decider in who was going to win the B1G title between Minnesota, Nebraska, and Wisconsin. On match point, Kelly Hunter was called for a double when sending the ball over two-handed on the third touch. That might have been the closest to a two-handed double I've seen in a big match but even that one was ehhhhh.

But as long as it's called consistently everywhere this year, that's the most important thing.

Kansas feels like the least-discussed Top 10 team this season so far.

Kansas feels like the least-discussed Top 10 team this season so far. It's because their RPI strength of schedule ranks 111, even with the Purdue game. They beat Creighton like they did Purdue, and the conversations about Kansas being in the top 5 start.

Onabanjo was playing with such joy. She looked giddy out there! Eff it I’m rooting for KU to make a deep tournament run. They are fun to watch!

Purdue was running a weird rotational defense. Looked like they pull their right back up to the ten foot line to get tips when the outside is hitting. So the entire line was pretty much left open to hit down. Looks like Kansas really honed in on that in the 4th set.
Overall this was a great match to watch. They showed a graphic that both teams were hitting over .320 after the first 3 sets. And both Chicoine and Hudson didn't have a single error until mid way through the 3rd set. Hopefully Purdue can fix up their floor defense to give some back to their high level blocking.
