This seems like this is a huge match for the Gophers.
In the first month, they proved they could knock off anyone.
They need to prove that they can do it again.

And just as important, prove they can do it on someone else's court. If you want to make some noise in the conference and in the NCAA tournament, at some point you have to beat good teams on the road. This would be a huge win for Minnesota if they could pull it off.

Does any visiting team have chance in that barn? Nebraska, Wisconsin, maybe Purdue.

The Gophs can be very competitive vs PSU, but it's at Rec Hall. 3-1 PSU in 4 close sets.

In the first month, they proved they could knock off anyone.two teams that played horribly and the matches were in Milwaukee and Minneapolis. And the Gophs still needed 5 sets in both cases.
It's good that they've beaten the teams they should be. That is true. It's a necessary thing to be a good team. But anything tougher than that, they've struggled.

What a terrible, stupid decision to play this game at 2pm Eastern/1pm Central.
That's right in the middle of the most important game of the Vikings season. Decisions like this marginalize volleyball and prevent its growth.

The U's football redshirts don't travel. Why should volleyball be special? It shouldn't

Megan Hodge should wear her white contact lenses in honor of the time she wore them while playing against Minnesota on Halloween in 2008! http://instagram.com/p/DBKtcFeMSSY

Come on. This can't be a serious post. I don't think that the schedulers were thinking at all at the time that they scheduled this game, hmm, the Vikings, even though they have nothing to do with college volleyball, might be playing a big game at the same time. Oh well, let's decide to schedule it there anyway.
Nor do I think that they thought about it after the fact either. Nor should they.
