Just a reminder that the only players that can enter the portal currently are those planning to transfer as grad students. Also there should be few players next season using the COVID year. Majority of those would be 2020 recruits that redshirted after the 20-21 season.

If ur a 2020 recruit u should not be allowed to play in 2025…we need limits on how long or how old u can play imo…its college sports not the pros

I was just making a joke and trying to spice up the Portal tea already. There are already some rumblings re: Jolene and a possible coaching change and/or retirement, and some comments re: Charlotte Glass.

Especially since the numbers qualifying for it next season should be relatively few as compared to the prior years.

Whats the reason she’s being granted that? Injury for muliple years plus covid? i remember Kayla Cafey transfering to Texas and it was like her 6th or 7th year…yes she had multiple injuries and i think u should get one year for an injury or a redshirt…after that it is what it is

Normal redshirt year Injury year Played 3 years which completed normal five year time span Granted 6th year due to missing two years (redshirt plus injury) Covid year makes 7 Technically the last two may be reversed - not sure the order in which they occur.

Some students (especially international) can arrive on campus as 17 year old freshman and others as 20 year old freshmen. Eligiblity is tricky. But like - these are very uncommon cases and if the NCAA Grants 6th/7th years eligibility - I find them almost always justified.

See to me thats crazy…i think an injury year should count but not a redshirt year…if u werent good enough to play that year it should still count as a year…then granting another year if eligibility cuz u missed multiple years? Like what are we doin here…thats just my take to each their own
