Oregon soundly whipped UCLA, who took at set with a 10 point run in Lincoln. On paper this one looks like a potential barn burner. Nebraska would like to get a little revenge for the tourney loss a couple of years ago. I'll be giving out a big sigh of relief if the Huskers escape Eugene with a W. Revenge for that tourney loss indeed. For those who forgot the details, a recap of that 2022 match from the Huskers website: The No. 7 Nebraska volleyball team had its season come to an end with a five-set 25-14, 24-26, 25-22, 30-32, 11-15 loss to No. 9 Oregon in an NCAA regional semifinal at the KFC Yum! Center. The Huskers had 4 match points in the 4th set. Lindsay Krause led Nebraska with 16 kills and added a career-high six blocks. Ally Batenhorst (15 kills) produced double-figure kills, while Batenhorst, Nicklin Hames and Anni Evans each produced double-doubles. Kaitlyn Hord led the Huskers with nine blocks and Lexi Rodriguez led NU with 18 digs. Mimi Colyer led the Ducks (26-5) with 26 kills. |

Pretty sure this team isn't thinking about 2 years ago going into this match. Both teams have changed so much. Don't bring back that match and especially set 4 with our 5' 6" MB.

A lot on the line for both teams tonight as the Huskers try to make their case for the #1 overall seed and Oregon tries to bolster its resume just to be able to host.
I still think Nebraska has some crazy momentum they are riding right now and they take this thing in 4. But for our sake I hope this is a phenomenal match.
