SoCon First Round #1 - #5 The Citadel def #4 Samford 3-2
- Match ended 22-20 in the fifth. The Citadel was down 12-14 and fought off two set points, Samford had to fight to try and keep even but fell short
- What a DEFENSIVE BRAWL this match was. Both teams each had 100+ digs after the first three sets, and Samford ended up taking the advantage in digs 161-145 while The Citadel led in blocks 13-7
