Whew! Kudos to the Fighting Illini...kept the pressure on USC the entire match.
I don't know whether to attribute my exhaustion to match stress or the BIG+ student announcers.

You know, I saw this match was live, and I thought, nah, USC has this, it won't be interesting enough to watch.... Ugh!

Great win tonight! Raina, Avery and Philpot, all I can say is Wow! I was very nervous seeing CMM get blasted in the head but she seems ok. Anyone know what is going on with TdB? We cant make a run to the tourney with a tiny roster. Impressed by this team stepping up tonight when I actually thought we might not get the W. Thrilled, way to go I-L-L!!!

A competitive match and kudos to both teams for playing at a high level. USC had opportunity to win in 3, but can't close it out. Frustrating to see them serve the ball in the net on set point in the second set. If they have won the set, this would have changed the momentum & trajectory of the match. Their passing also fell apart at the end of set 3. USC needs a better game plan to close matches out and play lights-out remainder of the season.
