Dang so many people didn't watch Skinner play the VNL this year. It was against the worst team. Maybe people need to see more—especially considering the bumpy season she’s having so far. she also played against brazil, lol

skinner having this low of votes is a little laughable tbh If you combine the "Skinner as RS" and "Skinner as OH" votes, she's currently in 7th

I think Harper and Stafford are the future OH duo for the US, IMO. As sophomores, they're both almost certainly a lock for 1st AA and their play is out of this world.
As far as Opp goes, it's between Skinner and Babcock, and it's really going to depend on how they develop internationally. Those two will almost exclusively be fighting for that starting Opp spot.
All the other positions are a toss up 🤷🏽♂️

Fuerbringer? Maybe it's my Badger bias. Do you think she has potential to make it to the Olympics?

China? they weren't the worst team Thought Madi Skinner played only the match versus Thailand. My bad. She played versus Thailand; not China at all, as someone posted; Brazil, Italy, and the DR.

Just for funsies if I was only able to send players from this list to LA my roster would be: Miner/Stucky Franklin/Stafford/Rubin/Murray Jackson/Colvin/Robinson Skinner/Martin Rodriguez One of Starck/Tuaniga/Alexander as my alternate. Skinner has a shot but her defense needs to improve alot for her to get a a shot Even if her defense doesn’t improve, Madi Skinner will get a shot at OH. She’s a fan favorite. Imo, there are too many other RSs better than her in stature and performance at this phase to jump into that position: Kendall Kipp will improve over her first half-season of international play. Olivia Babcock of Pitt is excellent in NCAA. She will improve still more professionally. Martin of Florida will improve once she gets out of Florida. 🤭 Beason of Nebraska has shown she can deliver as a point-scoring RS.

Starck with more votes than Reily and i lowk agree Starck is phenomenal! No matter what team you support, her play is undeniably good. And not just based on the setter’s team’s win/loss record, or hitting percentage. Starck is fluid with consistent tempo and location, aggressive, creative, deceptive; has decent size on the block. Kami Miner’s only challenge, or real deficit, imo. Fuerbringer and Reilly are rather similar. Prefer Reilly between those two.

It’ll be interesting to see who sticks around tho-
KP Skinner Lanier Hentz Hall Chi Rettke Poulter
This seems likely to be the core next year.

Our best OPP prospects are sophomores currently so not sure who’s filling that position out the next few years. Skinner and Beaton should see looks.

i think only babcock on this list has a chance of 28. her position is the most needed. these players are for 32/36.
gray/emp/skt kp, skinner, lanier, eggleston, frantti, hoffman, i think Leah can find her way into the gym Retke, chi, Igiede, butler, hall, gray jwo, Hentz, sponcil, fleck
i can see babcock winning out against mims, samedy, and kipp. perhaps m. skinner if she plays opp too.
i see miner, stafford, fisher, franklin, and baby skinner getting on 32
if i were the new coach, i'd bring miner, babcock, and stafford to 28 to gain experience and be the core for the 32/36 runs
