I dont think its a stretch. Lexi passed better than Fleck this summer against the same/similar competition. Hentz is in a weird spot. Is she going to grind out the next four years to LA? Will PVF be an avenue to allow her to do that? she's not going to get better playing against lesser competition. Maybe she makes the jump lovb? If JWO retires like I thought she was then Hentz would be silly to walk away. She’s been number 2 for the entire quad and still has room to grow and…. As we know it takes most players a long time to get there. Justine was not good her first few years on the NT and then had a breakout just in time.

Will PVF be an avenue to allow her to do that? she's not going to get better playing against lesser competition. Justine ground it out for literal decades, and there were a lot of people who thought not taking Morgan was a mistake. She doesn't need to get better to be the best when Justine retires. (She does need to continue to improve for us to win). Fleck's strength has always been defense. You have to compare both sides of the position. The whole reason we didn't need to take two Libs on the roster this round was because Kelsey was strong enough to fill in as a DS and she would have stepped into the Lib role if anything had happened to Justine. Brooke fills those shoes nicely, which allows an extra hitter roster spot. Yall still trying to make Brooke happen, huh?

Starck seems to young. She wouldn’t have any pro experience before 2028. I’m even worried about the sophomore setters. Hopefully LOVB takes off and some of the sophomores consider skipping their senior year. And hopefully the new coach really prioritizes youth at the S/OPP positions, I don’t see anyone in the gym that should be an Olympic starter.

she also played against brazil, lol True. Not Madi Skinner’s best outing. A first-timer, sure. She’s a fan favorite so people are hopeful for her. she was put in off the bench for a struggling opp & against a red hot brazilian team. only played sets 3&4, took the 3rd set from them. not her best match for sure but she wasn’t a liability!

relooking at madi’s VNL stats. in limited ish time (her and parsons trading off) against the DR she had a great showing. against thailand she was phenomenal. and off the bench, although slightly error prone, she was a spark against Brazil. madi will have a shot at 2028.

Historically, Libs have stuck around for a long time, and there aren't many roster spots for them. To logically think Lexi would ever make it you'd have to think she's better than Morgan, Brooke (as a Lib), and Zoe, or that all 3 of them get hurt in the next two decades and she doesn't. This is laughable. I would say she is better than all on your list except Heintz.

Fuerbringer? Maybe it's my Badger bias. Do you think she has potential to make it to the Olympics? She was the last setter out for the U21 NORECA team and has been promoted in the USA program so far at the age group. Seems like her game could translate well to international ball. Certainly not for 28 but she's at least worth keeping an eye on for 32 and beyond. I think her bedt olympic bet will be to go back to the sand after college.

And maybe this might be an unpopular opinion i haven't heard people talk about Martin in LA28 enough, Imo the best opposite in college right now and most consistent.

I'd love to see Martin and Babcock on pro teams within the next two years. We need good oppos gaining experience at the highest level before LA2028.
