Starck with more votes than Reily and i lowk agree Starck is phenomenal! No matter what team you support, her play is undeniably good. And not just based on the setter’s team’s win/loss record, or hitting percentage. Starck is fluid with consistent tempo and location, aggressive, creative, deceptive; has decent size on the block. Kami Miner’s only challenge, or real deficit, imo. Fuerbringer and Reilly are rather similar. Prefer Reilly between those two. and if i say Starck has the edge over Miner… Starck is better than how Bergen Reilly and Ella Swindle were their freshman years and Starck is already setting like she’s ready for a VNL debut or a Noreca Final 6 😳 She’s quite literally now on the same level as Bergen if not higher and she’s still has 3 years to develop before 2028 i hope it’s her and charlie hm idk |

Historically, Libs have stuck around for a long time, and there aren't many roster spots for them. To logically think Lexi would ever make it you'd have to think she's better than Morgan, Brooke (as a Lib), and Zoe, or that all 3 of them get hurt in the next two decades and she doesn't. This is laughable.

I dont think its a stretch. Lexi passed better than Fleck this summer against the same/similar competition. Hentz is in a weird spot. Is she going to grind out the next four years to LA? Will PVF be an avenue to allow her to do that? she's not going to get better playing against lesser competition. |

Fuerbringer? Maybe it's my Badger bias. Do you think she has potential to make it to the Olympics? She was the last setter out for the U21 NORECA team and has been promoted in the USA program so far at the age group. Seems like her game could translate well to international ball. Certainly not for 28 but she's at least worth keeping an eye on for 32 and beyond. |

Middles are going to have a tough time breaking through for 2028 IMO
My money is on Dana/Chi/Anna Stevenson-Hall as the middle group for LA.
Next ones in would probably be Butler, O’Neal, or from this group I suspect Andi Jackson and Sophie Fischer will be the most likely to make the quick transition to the national team (but in time for the LA roster I’m not sure.)

I dont think its a stretch. Lexi passed better than Fleck this summer against the same/similar competition. Hentz is in a weird spot. Is she going to grind out the next four years to LA? Will PVF be an avenue to allow her to do that? she's not going to get better playing against lesser competition. Justine ground it out for literal decades, and there were a lot of people who thought not taking Morgan was a mistake. She doesn't need to get better to be the best when Justine retires. (She does need to continue to improve for us to win). Fleck's strength has always been defense. You have to compare both sides of the position. The whole reason we didn't need to take two Libs on the roster this round was because Kelsey was strong enough to fill in as a DS and she would have stepped into the Lib role if anything had happened to Justine. Brooke fills those shoes nicely, which allows an extra hitter roster spot. |

The passing side of intl vb is so much more important than defense. there's a reason we stuck kelsey/megan courtney there for half of a quad. edit: this philosophy could change with a new coach, but if its one from the usa system, i wouldnt expect it to |
