So after this weekend it seems the gophers RPI is a way more accurate representation of where they are at. I’d put us right around that 25 mark. Our ceiling is decently high, but we learned that our floor is in the depths of hell 6 games to go and the ceiling is 4-2 (no way they can beat Neb or Wisc). I believe that would be 13-7, 20-10. Not good enough for a Top 16. The Minnesota brand is eroding right before our eyes. Eh we’re in a transition period and the dust needs to settle before we go all doom and gloom. Our roster has been decimated from a coaching change and looser transfer rules and we basically have a rag tag group of whoever we could get/keep. Id like to think we are just in a slump not in a complete free fall

The Swenson magic of bettering the ball An offense that has a H% near .300 is worth more kills/set, but the real benefit is the increased difficulty for opponents to score in transition from digging under pressure
Their fewer hit options make our block more effective (As we saw this afternoon)

Minnesota's offense is SO slow.

That may have been Katherine Harms that Z crashed into. Can she still play opposite? It was Katherine.

Minnesota's offense is SO slow. I'd say it's more predictable than slow. Poor passing=set to our left pin and we rarely reverse flow or go to a backrow attack so that's it. Our OHs have to play smart and only one does at this point.

Our OHs have to play smart and only one does at this point. It's exacerbated by poor passing and being predictable, but it's also very slow. Sets too high, off the the net. Compare this with the MN win against Oregon last year. Totally different team and tempo.

Did I just completely miss that Gray was serving sub the first set? 2nd set, she took over for Crowl as SS.

I love how every time Hanson gets a block now she just braces herself for Z leaping into her arms lol Seriously, last night I think Julia was irritated and Z kind of half missed and Julia was rubbing her arm. Like maybe Z needs to read the room a little bit.

A battle of who’s got the uglier alternate jersey! Oregon clearly.

I haven't been able to watch the Gophers since it's hard to catch many of their matches (I live in Hawaii and travel around the country for work). But girllllllllllll.......this is quite the result.

Awww our athletic trainer going over to Gregoire too. Or is that common and I've just never noticed? Looks like Minnesota staff helped her off the court too. Horrible situation, but wonderful sportsmanship/human kindness from Minnesota’s staff. Hoping for the best for Gregoire 😔 It was Pedro and Ullmer helping her off, due to their height no doubt.

Tbh I want Wucherer front row but that feels like an unpopular opinion on here lol I feel like she's better than Acevedo at the moment. Alex needs a lot more reps.

WTF? We won? Like that? Wow, we needed that. U ok minny? Congrats on the Ducks dominant win. No, we are not OK. Hope Gregoire isn't out for the season. That was scary.

For real I don't see how Wucherer isn't having an existential crisis about her role as a volleyball player right about now. I saw Crowl give her a side hug on the bench at the start of set 3. Wondered allowed where she will play next year. #Sorrynotsorry

Bright spot was definitely Julia with 18 kills, she’s such a rock. Can’t really blame the players for being a mess all week, Keegan lost at least four of these sets on his own through terrible substitution decisions. I do like Oregon, so glad we could give them a top 25 win. Probably a top 50 RPI win, if we don't completely tank.
