I was referencing one of Michella Chester’s college vb contents and she said Elena Scott and Lexi Rodriguez are 2 of the best to “ever do it”
The Best Liberos in NCAA history 3x AA Morgan Hentz - Stanford 3x AA Natalie Hagglund - USC 3x AA Mary Lake - BYU 3x AA Kendall White - Penn State 3x AA Lexi Rodriguez - Nebraska 2x AA Elena Scott - Louisville 2x AA Justine Wong Ornates - Nebraska 2x AA Lauren Barnes - Wisconsin 2x AA Zoe Fleck - Texas 2x AA Stacy Sykora - Texas A&M 2x AA Nicole Davis - USC 1x AA Kayla Banwarth - Nebraska
Scott will become a 3x All American and Rodriguez will become a 4x All American
Do you think these 2 have established themselves in that conversation? They have achieved WAY more than some of the liberos on this list have. Even apart from the All america nods. I say they both are in the conversation.
Next up? Molly Tuozzo ? has a bright future ahead of her i predict she will be in here her final year!

Lexi and Elena absolutely belong on that list already. Mauch will be on it eventually as well. If Halter repeats her tournament performance this year I’d see an argument for her.

I can see why they were left off but Caroline Knop and Kenzie Maloney would be at least HM for me. Maloney was quietly very good and CK literally solo beat Plummer in the tourney. I also agree with the other posters re: Lauren Barnes. She was a serious problem in the 2021 final four.

Yes both deserve to be mentioned up there.
I would add it's only recently people are giving liberos their flowers. In the past, Liberos never made any sort of list no matter how good they were. I'd stay it's still easily the most disrespected position when it comes time for awards. (Which I basically track as the mainstream stats people look at don't work for libero recognition since good liberos are avoided)
