Plummer wasn't an all-American in 2019 because she didn't have the stats for it. She wasn't an all-American because there's a minimum number of sets a player has to play to be eligible, and she didn't meet that. So....sets played isn't a stat now lol? It's a literal threshold. It has nothing to do with how she played. |

I can live with this list. No, I don't think any middles have earned a spot on this list. Yes, I do think 2-3 of these semifinalists will be dropped to 2nd team for some middles. I think the finalists will consist of Franklin, Parra, Babcock, Stafford, Fairbanks, Scott, and Rodriguez. MAYBE Wait. And the website says "NOTE: Players who aren’t semifinalists can still be added to the list of finalists in December." 🥴 I don't think both Scott and Rodriguez will be on the finalist list and I also don't think they deserve to be |

snubbed ? lol she’s statistically like the 6th best OH in the sec lol and she was statistically the better player over sarah last year and still didn’t get NPOY, lol she was marginally better offensively than Franklin, who was a better passer and floor defender than skinner. Nothing about that was snub lol it could’ve gone either way |

Nothing about that was snub lol it could’ve gone either way heading into the FF, their dig difference per set was 0.05 in favor of Sarah blocking was +0.13 for Madi aces was +0.18 (double) for Madi kills were +0.62(!) for Madi Sarah was +.005 in hitting percentage also Sarah last year was not Sarah this year passing and madi last year is not madi this year passing. they weren’t NEARLY as far apart then. now it’s not even close obviously |

i’ll circle back to this in 3 weeks!! That's...great lol? Even if she goes off in the tourney, that doesn't mean you're right you realize that lmao? It's called the season awards, not the tournament awards. If we're just doing it based on brand names, might as well just poll at the beginning of the season and give out the awards then lmao, why wait for the season. There's already quite a bit of inertia with the AVCA awards where previous AAs make next-year's team based a lot more on brand names that on performances, and yet you're complaining about one of the things they got right this time? Plummer wasn't even an AA in 2019 when she dominated the tourney, but no one complained about that since she was literally out like half the year and thus didn't have the stats for it. never once did i say anything about brand names lol. her name is obviously big, but she also has the talent to back it up? |
